the game watch parties taht the Lightning do are amazing...they have one in the newer Channelside area that has a nice outdoor bar...and then one just outside the arena...and both get PACKED....

had to buy me a "Bish Please" and a "How Swede It Is" shirt from the team store...I wish the CBJ did fun tshirts like that...they also have a "Who's Your Vladdy" "Johnny B Good" and "Game Ondrej"

such a simple concept...

So, back when news of the trade for The Former #7 came out, I was really worried, because I didn't think he represented what we actually needed - we had a serious need on the blueline, but Brassard and Vermette were doing more or less okay at C and we had that Johansen kid on the way up. When Brent Burns was traded a few short days later, I freaked out, because I thought he was a perfect fit and that we should have gone after him instead. I eventually calmed down, tho, after we picked up Wisniewski, but in hindsight that was kind of the beginning of the end of my faith in Scott Howson.

Watching Burns play in this Sharks-Preds series is reminding me of those old regrets.
