Burns looked like the best defenseman ever last night. His solution to a two man forecheck is just to skate the puck around them!

That was a frustrating game for the Sharks. They clearly outplayed everyone except for Rinne.

Must not have watched the first period. The Preds should have been up 3 goals.

All three of the Sharks goals were lucky. Rinne isn't going to let Burns first goal go in most of the time from that angle. The other two were deflections off Nashville players which would have gone wide had they not been touched.

SOG were about even as were scoring chances. While the overall edge in play could be given to the Sharks it wasn't that big.

Johansen 4 points in 4 games in the series.

That's true, I only watched the last 5 periods  And from the 3rd period through OT most of the game was played in the Preds end.

Bob plays for team Russia, 0:2 after second period. It's interesting can team Russia come back as Jackets usually do in regular season? :(

Foligno-Finland game tonight. Finland has taken a step towards rautakorpilainen ice hockey so should be a good spring carneval ahead.

Gotta love it when Canada beats Belarus 8-0, and the headline on IIHF.com homepage is “Duchene nets game winner”.

Edit- Actually, Brassard got it. Still a funny choice, even more so since it is wrong.

Regarding today's Russia-Latvia WC match, Elvis showed some NHL-worthy saves, even though Latvia lost 0-4, and Bob looked like his vintage-Vezina self (still have to see how he plays the rest of the games - he was ok vs Kazakhstan and Czech rep., but he wasnt exactly spectacular either).

Maroon - Larkin - Captain line played well today, this line scored second goal. Captain played black and blue hockey :thumbu: USA team is very young ( I can say youngsters and students :sarcasm:) but I was impressed by US performance against more experienced Finnish team.

Gotta say Finland is quickly becoming the 2nd best hockey nation behind Canada. USA, Russia, Sweden may have more all around talent, but Finns play so well together to make up for that talent gap (even though its not that large.) Youngsters in Finland are really propelling that nation forward.

Oh believe me one of either team will absolutely amaze you at how poorly they can control the lead and develop a spectacular failure... I've seen a lot of them in Ottawa
