Something funny I noticed is whenever I wear a Yotes jersey to a Canes game, the Canes win. Every time. And my kachina gets me a lot of high fives.
We're non traditional hockey market bros. I'd love if the Yotes and a team like the Canes or Panthers ever met up in the cup finals, the "hockey only belongs up north" crowd would have a collective aneurysm.

How else is hockey in your life?: I play C & D league hockey. I played as a kid for a few years, I wasn't anything special, got back into it 4 years ago. There's just no sport like it.
Favorite Coyotes moment: 2012 playoffs - I bought tickets for the duration of the playoffs and attended every game, it was amazing.
How and when did you become a Coyote fan?: I moved to Phoenix from France in '98. I had always wanted to see an NHL game, so i went to see the local team with a $ 10 limited view student ticket. I was hooked. I attended the Blues playoff series in '99, with that game 7 loss. America West Arena was rocking!!! Oh, and watching Forsberg play in person that season. Incredible.

Coyotes Bandwagon
I haven't been around here posting for a few years now, school caught up with me. So thought I would re-introduce myself.

I actually grew up a Leafs fan until the age of 14. Mike Smith was a family friend, so he got my family tickets when we had gone down to Florida on vacation when he was with Tampa.
Good to see you back man.

How else is hockey in your life?: Played in high school, occasional PS3 PS4, listen religiously to the Spittin' Chiclets podcast

Favorite Coyotes moment: came back to the Valley last winter for the wedding of a guy and girl whom I had season tickets next to in 2014-2015. Wedding was Friday and we went to the game the next night, only a few seats away from our old seats. Great visit.

Got a week up in Ontario in 2016 to see Strome (in Erie and @Mississauga), Dvorak (in London), MacInnis (@Erie) and Perlini (in Niagara) play for their juniors teams, wore Coyotes jersey to every game and had great talks over bad Canadian beer with the locals.

Wore my OEL jersey to the Leksands IF game in Sweden last year, OEL's old team, three hour train ride from Stockholm, tiny quaint town, Swedish fans buying me beers and pizzas in the stadium. Great trip.

How and when did you become a Coyote fan?: When I moved to town in 2013

How else is hockey in your life?: Mostly just following it and reading about it 24/7, except I haven't played in a number of years
Favorite Coyotes moment: Ray Whitney's playoff OT winner vs. Nashville
How and when did you become a Coyote fan?: Former Leafs fan turned Coyotes fan. I became tired of the Leafs' continued failure and ownership's monopoly of the market. At the same time, I've followed the Coyotes since the ownership story came to light, and followed more closely during each playoff run. I pulled the plug and became a full-time Coyotes fan during last year's playoff run. The Leafs are now my ex-wife.

Six years later

Favorite Coyotes moment: Hanzal OT goal vs Chicago Game 1 in 2012 and the final seconds of Game 5 vs Nashville in 2012.
How and when did you become a Coyote fan?: Relocated to AZ from NJ 20 years ago, attended a couple of Coyote games at AWA in 1996 during business trips and I was hooked. Want that feeling back. STHer for 9 years (including the 2 future seasons I recently signed up for)
Other Hockey-related: first hockey game I attended was an ECHL or NAHL game between the Long Island Ducks vs Johnstown Jets in early/mid '70's at the old Commack Arena (now known as the Long Island Arena). Dingy old barn, saw a puck laying on floor behind the glass, picked it up and I was sold.

The Ducks were best known for player-head coach John Brophy, who is believed to be the role model for Paul Newman's character of Reggie Dunlop in Slap Shot.

The Jets roster included the Carlson brothers, who as we know became the basis for the Hanson Brothers. Jets had the same uniforms as the Chiefs in Slap Shot and years later changed their name to the Chiefs.

Didn't know any of those things at the time.
Bio's? Must be August.

Age +1 (and one year closer to retirement)

Favorite Coyote moment - April 4, 2020. Phil Kessel's OT goal vs Peg puts the Coyotes in the playoffs. 7 months later he's elected POTUS
