He is a better version of TJ Brodie. Just plays mistake free hockey, makes the simple play, and moves the puck.

I don't think too many players in the NHL would be happy to be waived and claimed by a non-playoff team right before the deadline.

I didn't say the Leafs were the ideal spot.

Just Anaheim being at the bottom of the standings had priority waiver order. I suspect other teams put in a claim also - but the priority goes to the worst team that claims him first.
