it would be nice, if end up playing Islanders I don't really care if he jumps in, if we end up playing Tampa or CBJ it would be good to play game or two before....he needs to heal cause just wait, he will be crosschecked left and right....especially if they end up playing CBJ

Either way, I'm worried about how Geno's going to fare in the tight checking of the playoffs. Especially with the ghost of Phil on his wing, against a coach (Trotz) that's had his guys go hard after Geno for years in Washington.
Rest is cool, but he's probably not going to be fully healed, and he's very likely going to be rusty. Also worried about Letang's neck, more so than Geno's ribs, if I'm being honest.

without geno and tanger, and with dead Kessel and snakebit Horny, no wonder we only scored 14 in 7 games...basically one line team with the third line with only one guy on that can score , Sully is pushing that he is not concerned (this kind of time, tight checking games, yet everywhere I look our to be opponents are putting 5-6 goals each game...

Letang coming back is essential. If we repeat what happened in 2017 I'd be gobsmacked. Especially since Schultz has been playing badly of late.

The good news is that we can only really go up from where we've been at recently as far as depth production goes. 
We've been a one line team for essentially the entire season. If there were a great time for secondary scoring to show up, it's over the next few weeks.

Like I said, frustrating as hell. Even with Geno/Letang out, there should be enough talent left to not struggle to score more than 2 goals in a game. Crosby, Guentzel, Kessel, Hornqvist, Rust, Bjugstad, and McCann ... a lot of teams would kill to have even that kind of offense up front.

I "like" the looks of the third line. Good adv stats and they pass the eye test...but they need to start putting the f***ing puck in the net if we want something to happen in the playoffs. We need a contributing 3rd line. They've chipped in here and there but need to start producing at a much higher rate. The honeymoon with them is quickly ending with me.

To add to this, this is why I wanted Prow up for a game or two, Riikola might be a guy that needs more time, but Prow should have at least gotten a game or two to show if he was ready. Now with Letang back out again, we look stupid (yet again) that we have no real back-up plan and the Pens offense is very hit or miss and this team desperately needs that puck mover from the back end when Letang isn't out and to support Schultz.
Must be shitty to be Ethan Prow, almost at 50pts in the AHL and yet, f***ing Trotman gets a shot.
