So I found this blank jersey in my closet and I'm pretty sure it is the style the Flyers wore when Giroux was a rookie, so I was thinking I wanted to get his debut #56 put onto it. It's only a cheap replica jersey but I don't care.

Am I correct that this is the jersey they wore then? I looked at pictures and I'm about 99.9% sure but since I dont know when this jersey is from I wasnt sure if there are any subtle changes to the jerseys the flyers wore back then from season to season...

From what I understand I need to talk to someone named "Mike" to get this jersey customized 100% accurately? Could someone point me in the right direction?

You could use Mike to stitch the name and number on but you'll have to go through Ruberti's to get the kit. I'd ask JohnnyOnTheSpot on here to help you with Ruberti's.

Anyone have an indonesia edge? What is the opinion on them? And can John Q. Public still get Canadian edges? I'm looking to purchase both home and away authentics. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have one, but from what I gather most jersey collectors are not big fans of the Indo-edges. They are better than replicas, but that's about the only nice thing I've ever heard about them. They are pretty thin, to the point of being nearly see-through, and one member told us of how he tried to use oxyclean on a stain and the color bled-something that would never happen on his Canadian edges.

If I were you I'd probably just do my best to find an Edge 1.0/2.0 on ebay and avoid the Indo-edges-- There's actually one up on ebay right now that looks legit sold by a guy with 100% feedback-- It's a size 50, otherwise I would've bought it myself lol

The second one is an edge 1.0 (which I'm told fits more like the next size down, or 54 in this case) that would be a nice complement to the first in orange-- the seller also has an edge 2.0 with just the number 8 in mid-customization.

Why would he remove the tag? I saw this listing when it was first posted and almost jumped on it right away but the whole removing of the tag made me skeptical. Other than that, it does look very legit

Jersey is 100% legit, tags are removed by teams, players, people...the jersey itself is definitely legit. I wouldn't worry.

Thanks for the heads up! Those jerseys are cool, but I'm looking to get 52/54 tops. I did a little digging, and I'm steering very clear of the indo jers. The search continues!

Last year only the home jerseys were up for sale at retail. It looks like at least the home jerseys will be sold at retail again (none posted yet). Although they will probably be $300-$350 blank.

What do you guys think about this match on the left glove? The one mark on the palm looks like a match but nothing else really matches up.

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a jersey and figured this was the place to come. I want a 2012 Winter Classic, either a Giroux or Voracek. A replica is fine by me, I just don't know where the best place to get it is. There's so many shady websites out there and so much jersey terminology in here that I don't know so I don't want to order one and look like a scrub while wearing it. Going to my first game every in Philly at the end of November so I figure I should wear something other than my Richards jersey. Thanks guys.

your best bet is to find that 2... them marks are pretty common on all gloves (any players) who use black tape.


EDIT: upon some research they are not the gloves...

I dont think you'll find a match. I collect pro stock/used gloves myself and every player is different. Those could have been Gagne's only gloves from last year and now you own them. However, judging by the picture of Gagne and your gloves that does look like a match. The #2 has nothing to do with the gloves/player. For instance, Kris Versteeg writes PFTLOTG on his gloves in sharpie. I've seen a lot of players write different things on their gloves.
