Anyone know the highest this pick could be?

I think it could get as high as 24 if Colorado and Carolina both lose the first round (along with Pittsburgh of course), but I didn't go into that much depth looking at all possible situations, so I could be wrong.

E: No, 26th is the highest it can be, after doing the math

26th if all 4 of the teams that make the Conference Finals are below them in the standings. They’re currently in the 30th spot. Them winning their division by a tiebreaker over Washington was a buzzkill.

Does it go by regular season points until the Final 4?

Cup winner will pick 31
Cup loser will pick 30
Conference final losers will pick 28-29
Division winners that didn't make the conference final pick next based on record. 25th is the highest the Pens pick can be

Pens would have the tiebreaker over the Leafs, so if all four division winners didn't make the conference finals, Leafs would be 25th, Pens 26th.

I'm guessing that you're forgetting that Arizona forfeited their 1st rounder.

How Jarry took the Pens this far I will never understand.

Still wondering about the sorcery it took to overcome Jarry to get them this far. Should have been looking at a good pick.

So 26th pick then?
The lowest it can be is 27th. The highest it can be is 25th I think?

If Carolina and Colorado both make the conference finals, they'll be 27th.
If neither make the conference finals, they'll be 25th.
If only one of either Colorado or Carolina make the conference finals, they'll be 26th.

Just have to say, looking at the Zucker thread on the trade board... feels good to have gotten out while the getting out was good.
It’s weird. Guerin got out of Zucker, Staal, and Koivu before they tanked. It’s almost like he MIGHT know what he’s doing

And bought into Marcus Johansson, and Nick Bjugstad. Also didn't move Rask, who might singlehandedly be responsible for us losing Kaprizov.

That's a little dramatic. If Kaprizov didn't play with Rask, he would have played with Bjugstad or Hartman. If he didn't play with Bjugstad or Hartman he would have played with Luke Johnson.
