Holtz is pointless in his last 3 games...hopefully it doesnt last much longer. World Juniors camp must be starting soon so it will be a nice change to see him on North American ice for the first time since we picked him.

Holtz on the 4th line today... not exactly sure why

Holtz played ~7 minutes on a kids line with Bokk, who was drafted in 25OA in 2018 and has 2G 0A in 13 games, and Bjerselius, a 19 year old center with no points in 13 games. Holtz had no shots on goal.

Djurgardens had a bad 1-5 loss before this game so that and Eklund being out may have led to lines being rejiggered. Hopefully this is a short term thing and team will likely need his scoring since they don’t have a ton of offensive.

Goes to show Holtz is just a passenger, a pigeon. He needs someone to drive offense for him or else he's useless. Clearly not someone you can rely on and not a game changer.

No surprise there, Devils never do well drafting Scandinavian forwards. May as well trade him for more picks before his value becomes nothing. Get something for him while you can.

Thanks Castron

For a second I was confused why you were talking about two of our prospects already...but then realized it is the brothers of Clarke and Hughes. :sarcasm: Now we need both

NJ should be allocated both Clarke and Hughes in the upcoming draft and then the rest of the draft should proceed as normal.

NHL Channel did I a special on Benier. Not only is he a special player, he may be headed to Harvard. Comes from good blood lines. Mother and farther went to Cornel both have engineering degrees, mom also went for a law degree and stared on Broadway. Interesting family.

I read on the prospect board that William Eklund just had an appendectomy and will be out a month. He played on 12/30 and then missed a game so I checked and because this kid is cursed he’s going to miss a big chunk of time just as Holtz gets back. Josefson is healthy but who knows where Holtz will play in the line-up when he gets back.

Their regular season ends on 3/11 so there’s not that much season left for Eklund so hopefully he heals quickly and nothing else terrible happens after this.

On a positive...maybe while hes out, other players can solidify or raise their draft stock and he falls to us in the 2nd.
