Back when I made that comment, it was a 2nd (which it no longer seems to be) + a player + a looong contract for a nearing his mid 30's QB. Plus, you downgrade at QB as I'd rather have Cousins.

Better for Skins now that it's a 3rd.

That's a lot of money for an older QB. Even though it's only a third and a player who might not play, the contract is a big negative for me.

I don't like this deal for the Chiefs. They really should have held out for a 2nd. I realize they needed the cap space and Mahomes is ready for the job, but a second should have been the minimum price. Cravens is basically a project.

I agree. I'm surprised considering the amount of teams that were supposedly interested.

Cleveland should do something similar to what Joe Thomas suggested: Throw the checkbook at Cousins and use the 2 picks for the best non QB's available.

Fine move for Washington. Smith was great this year and is a perfectly capable starting QB. I think he's in the same range as Cousins.

They'll get a 3rd next year for Cousins as compensation anyway, so they come out close to to even.

Go and draft and develop a young QB. This trade and contract just locks the Skins in to being a 4-8 win team for the next few seasons.
