Hepo should savor the playoffs and championship, once he joins the Panthers, it’s the last one of his career.I know Kärpät will probably coast to championship regardless, but I'm exited to see him in the playoffs.

Him and Borgstrom can talk about their championships together lol. This is so sad but true.Hepo should savor the playoffs and championship, once he joins the Panthers, it’s the last one of his career.
I feel like Hepo's the kinda guy who'll walk when he can if things look grim.Hepo should savor the playoffs and championship, once he joins the Panthers, it’s the last one of his career.
Is he technically signed yet?Him and Borgstrom can talk about their championships together lol. This is so sad but true.
He’ll be signed. The Finns always sign.Is he technically signed yet?
We didn’t want to sign him.
Pretty unique situation. Plus he was pretty terrible. He revived himselfWe tried to sign him but at that point he wasnt sure he'd continue playing hockey. Still a finn that did not sign
And now he's a millionaire. What a champion.Pretty unique situation. Plus he was pretty terrible. He revived himself
I always liked him too it was a shame he had his problems but I’m happy for him.And now he's a millionaire. What a champion.

It was reported in San Jose his first year over here. He was considering walking away from the game, and didnt want to sign as he wasnt sure he was good enough to come over. Rededicated himself, and boom he is in the league.Where did you get that? No mention of it in Finnish press of the time. It was reported that negotiations were ongoing but ultimately "they couldn't reach a satisfactory agreement". Donskoi "was disappointed" but felt like he had no chance make the team and didn't want to go to North America until he felt like he was good enough to make it.

Not sure how you could blame either side for any of it. Guy was honest about his feelings at the time.
Heposauce
Yes. In the glorious NHL players are never left open, ever.A perfect example of a play that would have been impossible to make at the NHL level
Seriously, what kind of D coverage was that? lol

You see the Leafs line change on PP a few nights ago? There's some unbelievably bad stuff happening in the best hockey league in the world, too.Lol, not like that. Not even close.
Look at the play again

True, but recognizing the situation and being able to sauce it to him through the D was nice.Yeah, fair enough
But my point was that the play was more about bad D coverage than an actual good play by Heponiemi.

I agree
He took advantage of it made a great play. Can't deny it
Doesn’t mean he hasn’t been phenomenal. It was a PP goal and remember the rink is the size of a airport
Shooters like Hoffman don't grow on trees and he is actually pretty good defensively. We need to keep and sign him IMO. The minute we let him go we'll be back to whining about needing a shooter again. What are Panarin's goals and assists again? Because we are full with playmakers already.Trade Heponiemi + Pysyk + 2nd 2019 for Trouba...
Sign Panarin and Bob for free.
Trade Hoffman early for futures !
Man, I love Hoffman, but I'd rather have those Russkofs !
See... Heponiemi is the first domino hihihi... And it could net us a pretty good D and futures for some 2nd rounders...
