Just wanted to tell you guys that it's been an honor posting with you all over the course of the season. I haven't been posting much in the live threads for the last few months because of a close family member becoming sick and recently passing. Reading these threads and suffering as Flyer fans together help through tough times.
Here's to a good offseason!

Sorry for your loss, bud.

What a roller coaster this season was. Lots of ups and downs.

The players seemed emotionally drained after the st patty lost to leafs.

Hoping for a positive vibe this offseason and hopefully next year at this time next year we will be a lot happier

This probably gets said after every season, but this year and offseason are truly a crossroads for us. Hextall and Hakstol have been flushed, their is talent on the team, kids are knocking on the door. Now we need to decide if we are going to waste another 4 years a la Hextall or if Fletcher can get a real coaching staff, adequately fill holes on the roster, and allow for the team to take the next step.

No, this offseason is definitely bigger than the last several.

Well, last offseason was also big; the year hinged on Hakstol being replaced more than anything else and Hextall was inactive on the thing that really mattered. It was time to do something to start walking into the future and Hextall decided not to.

Honestly thank god its over!!!! Wish it was over 3 months ago when we were dead last. This was a wasted season when Hextall didn't have the balls to fire Hakstol.

I'm hoping and a believer that this is the beginning of a 10-15 year run when were going to be a top team in the league. Barn is getting full and will be ready in 2-3 years, Defense is improving and gaining experience, Hart looks like the real deal (let alone our other young goalies) some good coaches available, top 10 pick and we have a ton of cap space. Hopefully our management is capable that is really the only question (Like Fletcher's resume and the fact he's gained experience elsewhere but he's the unknown).

Correct. And Hextall's shortcomings should be evident to Fletcher in his planning for the offseason. If Fletcher fails this summer then this era is doomed.
