Suppose to fly back home tomorrow night from Chicago. If I get stuck in an airport all weekend I will figuratively and literally kill myself.

Bucks County.
For the most part yeah. Icing is a concern to me tho for Philly and the Lehigh Valley. Don’t know how much they said about it on the news

That "Flash Freeze" on Sunday PM into Monday is going to cause some havoc. My school district is already talking about closing and we are already closed for students for MLK Day. We do have about 500 students coming in for a "Day of Service" project which would use buses, but other than that the only other people coming in are the administrators.

Most of Bucks is going to get some wet snow, then some ice, and then rain. That is going to leave a whole bunch of wet mush covering most surfaces that will rapidly freeze and definitely not thaw until temps rise again. I saw that if your car isn't covered on Sunday then your car is pretty much going to be frozen shut. You'll have to break into it like it you're on that Street Fighter Bonus Level.

I'm planning on not leaving my house from about 10 am Sunday until Tuesday.

It's fun knowing that there is a big storm less than 24 hours out and no one having any idea what is going to happen

Of course this has to happen when I have a four day birthday weekend. Now everyone is afraid to go out and do anything!

Storm coming in a lot warmer for these parts. Up into the 50s later Saturday night, early Sunday morning

My post for friends and family on FB, I had coating-2 inches around Philly. Might even be a little high, but I think the cold air is going to put up a good fight and hang on for a while, similar to mid-November

Yeah, that's the case here. NWS is pretty confident that it will be wintry mix at worst until you get up to Frederick but then temps are going to plummet down to single digits. It's gonna get dicey on the roads because rain will wash away salt and brine and make a hard freeze very possible.

Yea, we aren't far from the rain/snow/ice line, so a shift 50 miles south would make for an entire different forecast

I remember an ice storm when I was a kid ...the ice on the street was at least 2-3 inches thick. We ice skated on the streets throughout the neighborhood. Fun stuff...
