Yeah I’m a believer. Easy to say with a win streak. But their play and line up was spotty for the first half. Is it AV magic? Players catching on to the system or buying in? The classic expressions.

one major improvement is turnovers. The support is also better. You don’t see one guy on the boards with no help and guys are making themselves available for passes.

WE'RE JUST ON ANOTHER LEVEL. ITS TOO EASY.

For real, that was a great game.

Giroux-Couturier-Voracek is absolutely disgusting. Always.
Hayes is a beast. TK is a beast. Sanheim is a beast. Myers is a beast.

At 5v5...

61.76 CF%
66.35 xGF%
72.22 HDCF%

Even that seems to understate how bad we slapped them.

Hagg looked kinda bad in the first but finished top xGF% among D, assuming he had a good 2nd/3rd?

That chart is magnificent. Truly boner inducing.

Laughton is just a better hockey player on the wing. Myers shows flashes of elite status. Hart makes huge saves .... again. Fun team to watch.....too bad the coach sucks.

Great job with the ice time distribution again, kept Couts down to 17:45, Hayes 16:35, and old men Giroux/Voracek/JVR all under 15! Similar D-spread as last time, Hägg down a tick (13:52) and Braun just under 16. [Edit: Again, no PK for Hägger.]

Really happy to see this becoming a trend. No more riding the first line hard regardless of score, and actually having depth to use. But mostly happy they've been able to put games away early and keep the pedal down -- neither of these things happened under Hak, and it must have felt like they were playing a 90-game regular season.

Small annoyance: they played like a pack of morons on one of those last shifts in front of Hart leading to a goal.

Konecny's stick smash over the net reminded me of the conclusion of the 1988 playoffs series against Washington when one of our players demolished his stick. In a way, Konecny's smash was emblematic of something good through crisis considering the game's outcome was decided.
