This is right - those two are the only players that have trade value. I could see them doing a Stillman type trade, as they certainly love the idea of finding a diamond in the rough. I assume that is what our one pro scout is working on.

What can happen?
Girgs, vo, okposo, Robinson, or e Johnson for late round picks? Who cares. Maybe if we call up Rochester players but who replaces them?

Casey or krebs for picks. Sabres don’t need more of those

Only chance is a Change of scenery trade with another non playoff team. Disgruntled?

I don’t think much of anything happens. And if a lot happens, it ruins Rochester season as well as the sabres

This is the one for me. They desperately need a few hockey trades, but the Draft seems like a much more likely venue for such a thing. Perhaps Adams acquires someone to replace either ZG or EJ but pulling from Rochester would be the more likely outcome.

I think we get middling picks for ZG or EJ. I think we then get some sort of 3rd/4th line player a la Greenway who needs rehabilitation.

I also think we then shut down one or more of the playing-through-injury brigade at forward (Skinner, Tage....Tuch?) and call up a guy like Rousek to see if he can amount to anything in the NHL. I do not think we callup Kulich or Rosen.

If there is one thing about Adams and Co they stick to that to the detriment of the quality of leadership.

I'm going to say no. I will say that they claim that they tried and couldn't make it happen, deferred to their offer being better than another team's and some such.

The nightmare is that they lean in on a turd like Laughton by giving away something useful and then people wonder why it doesn't work.
