Can someone explain what is still needed to become cap compliant for 5pm?

See below (I had posted this in another thread):

My guess for the next couple of days.

Armia and Lindström clear waivers

To Laval (some are paper transactions):

RHP, Guhle, Barron, Norlinder, Harris, Heineman

That gives them a cap compliant roster of 13 forwards, 5 defenceman, 3 goalies ($20,417 under the Cap).

They then put Price on LTIR. Dvorak and Wideman go on IR.

They call RHP, Guhle, Harris, and Barron (I had Norlinder here originally) back to start the season.

Lines at practice:

Caufield-Suzuki-Anderson
Newhook-Dach-Slafkovsky
Pearson-Monahan-Gallagher
RHP-Evans-Ylönen

I love Monahan, but that 3rd line might be the slowest line in all of hockey..

I disagree about keeping Barron instead of Norlinder but I guess the pre-season games didn't matter for Barron, his spot was already handed to him.

Norlinder wasnt good either we need to stop that. He barely can do anything offensively and he sucks equally bad as Barron in his zone, to top it all off, hes nowhere near as good as Barron on the breakout.

Bet on talent before some kind of ego pumping.

Love the 2nd line
Too bad about Andy back on top line, Monahan is needed elsewhere for now with no Dvorak
That 4th line should take some teams by surprise tho

Gallagher is still there...
Give it a couple weeks,
He'll be back on the shelf

I think opening in Toronto I would want Anderson on that line.

Now still need the paper transactions:
-RHP, Slaf, Harris, Barron sent down virtually
-Send NHL a 22 men roster including 4 goalies lol
with 100K ish under the cap(considering we save only 1.15M on Armia and Harris cap hit)
-Put Price on LTIR, Dvorak amd Wideman on IR and recall the 4 boys

I think sending Slaf down is problematic because of the rookie-contract bonus and how it impacts the cap.

Can only play one at a time and usually the designated #1 plays the bulk of the games. Primeau I believe is the #3 goalie. How many games does he get realistically?
Montembeault doesn’t have the notoriety to garantee him starts. If his play from camp continues, there’s no reason to keep giving him start over Primeau.

Allen is there as a mentor, he’s probably the 3rd goalie.

I wouldn’t be surprised one bit to see Primeau start the 2nd game of the season.
