That was a fun final 2 periods, I'm still clueless on who will play defence, Lambos looked good.
Lambos has a nice, firm, NHL level pass. Besides Zellweger, though, I'm with you. I have no idea who they should pick. Cornier is obviously the guy if you want more of a puck handling/PP specialist.

As i said earlier, i want to see the Dmen facing fast, skilled oppo to see who breaks down either mentally or technique wise. It's all fun and games when you are playing a lesser opponent. I saw #19 get impatient and charge over to his partners side of the ice on a 1 on 2, effectively picking his own man and making a simple situation difficult. You can't do that against the Russians or Swedes. They'll make you pay.

It’s seems like Cameron keeps wanting to downplay Bedard. I truly don’t understand Hockey Canada and their foolishness.

Cameron’s a known dinosaur, to the point that I am half-expecting Finley to be named to the team despite being by far our worst player throughout the two games (which would really make me question why they are played at all).

I actually thought his comments after the first game were specifically an attempt to keep the hype from exploding around Connor. After these comments here that seems to clearly be the plan. It might actually be a good idea, to be honest.

Great, now let’s get those TV cameras in their faces so we can ask them how they feel being cut. Everybody’s favourite part of camp! ;)

I know right? Hate that they do that, just let them slip out the back door, it must feel so painful.

Been a fun ride so far watching this team come together. After watching these two games I have my final team as:

Perfetti - McTavish - Bedard
Johnson - Wright - Bourque
Neighbours - Greig - Guenther
Desnoyers - Stankoven - Sourdif
Lapierre, Bourgault

Power - Guhle
Sebrango - Zellweger
O'Rourke - Cormier
Lambos - Hunt

Cossa
Garand
Brochu

I think splitting up the two shooters (Wright/Bedard) with the two playmakers (Johnson/Perfetti) is a good recipe for offensive success. I also like the 3rd all-WHL line to go up against other teams top players. Keeping Neighbours/Guenther together I think is a no-brainer early. Lots of fluidity in this line-up however with the amount of guys that can play center/wing. Will be very interesting to see how Cameron mixes and matches.

Power, Guhle, Zellweger, O'Rourke and Sebrango are all locks for me on defense at this point.

Good looking lineup. Johnson and Bedard have played roller hockey together for years and this past summer they dominated the men’s league. Wonder if they get a look together on the ice.
