The majority of prospects don't have any real concrete value.

They're often worthless to other teams until they're a proven commodity. But simultaneously worth a lot to the team that owns them because there's mystical upside that can be achieved if they develop properly.

Chicagoblackhawks.com is still struggling to put together a proper prospects list on their official site...embarrassing...

If we get #2 and get Michkov we will be waiting minimum of 3 years before he even comes here unless we pull some Fedorov level shit and sneak him on a plane like its the 80s again. If we have to wait just for him to come that would be more years of being at the bottom hoarding talent

Yes but he will be a 21/22 year old with multiple years of pro experience. He will be just hitting his stride and coming in with an ELC. Plus - without him or Bedard or Fantilli in the lineup, the Hawks will remain bottom feeders and get high draft picks in 2025 and maybe 2026. The point being that we will need to be patient until the Hawks are legitimate contenders again so stashing Michkov in the KHL is a good thing.

Those pt projections you have for every player save for Kane is pretty generous...

Domi had 39 pts last year, Johnson hasnt come close to scoring 50 pts in 4 years now, AA hasnt scored more than 26pts in 4 years, Blackwell has never even scored 30pts.

What past performances are you using EA NHL??

Hence the hoarding talent bit, that would give us a serious shot of getting Kiviharju or whoever is projected to go at the top for 2024 and the 25 and 26 drafts as well which would be insane

Think about this time last year when Eichel was available. Beaudin had way more value back then. It probably would have taken Reichel too, but none of those players are likely to ever be as good as Eichel.
Beaudin had value from draft day until he split time on the hawks Covid roster.
He wasn’t awful but he really didn’t stand out either. Good prospect then? Ok, I’ll give you that but every team has several good prospects.

Yep, select Michkov and let him mature in the KHL for a few years, then select Kiviharju in 2024 and let him stay in Finland for a year. That should enable the Hawks to be bad enough to get a top-5 pick in 2025.

Then bring Kiviharju over for the 2025/26 season when other prospects like Nazar, Korchinski and one or two more prospects from the multiple picks in the 2023 draft are breaking in.

Then Michkov comes over for the 2026/27 season and it's time to go to phase-3 of the rebuild - sign a one or two stud players in free agency.

Career NHL stats and averages over an 83 game schedule...real stats...of course that’s based on each players career stats to date and just a guide to how their career stats match up...obviously some players are past their prime but others are on the rise...just something I do every year to see what kind of team we’re putting together

McCabe for example had a career year stat wise last year, Kane had his third best season but was still better than his average

The three forwards with asterisks beside their names haven’t played 82 NHL games yet so their numbers aren’t ‘pure’...Raddysh, Entwistle and Katchouk

When Chicago loses Kane this roster can be in the discussion of worst rosters in NHL history.
