I kinda do tho
At least you put your money where your mouth is, my dude!
200$ I wanted to wait for the other proposals to come out to multiply the odds, but since thats not out yet and the Bobby Mac ranking is coming up soon, I didnt take the risk that the odds trend down if Slaf happens to be ranked 1st on his list.

Hes been playing good minutes in a mens league and he has been a really good D for them. Hes super aggressive in all facets of the game, has soft hands and his shooting is hard. Hes similar to Chiarot, would you take a gamble on a guy like Chiarot at 17? Theres untapped potential.

At best you get an unicorn gamechanging player, at worst you get a guy that will slit in your bottom 4 and play physical and sound D.
I have not seen those soft hands you mention, but I've seen very little of him.

Personally, I think 17 is a bit early to gamble on a unicorn, but I could be convinced otherwise with more viewings.

Free money for the bookies.

Hey at least I get paid some if they take the wrong guy (Slaf) and get an extra bump if they take my guy (Cooley)

He has great mobility, hits like a truck and a boss in his own zone. Has some raw offensive tools including a bomb of a shot. Skating in the SHL at 17 like he did while playing 2nd pairing minutes at time is quite impressive. A rock defensively, a physical specimen + some raw offensive tools should make him a top 20 pick in this draft.

Only 5 bucks? Not really worth talking about it. You dont want to know my stake...

I'm getting married in August, not exactly flush with cash

If they can walk out of the Bell Center with 3 actual 1st rounders, it would be cause for celebration.

And I can imagine the jubilation if Habs trade one of their more valuable roster players to get another 1st round pick and leave Day 1 with 4 first round picks.

Then again, I wouldn't mind trading that roster player for a 2nd round pick + a prospect who is ahead in his development.

Thank the hockey gods for New Jersey, who has been the most active organization pumping out these draft & combine videos.
They're more experienced in such matters :naughty:

If I wanna watch the draft, who will have the tv rights?
I prefer English description and I want a ''short term'' package.

Don't mind paying cause it's getting harder to find quality streams.

Edit: Via Wikipedia:
In Canada, coverage of the draft will be televised on Sportsnet.

In United States, coverage of the draft will be televised on ESPN and ESPN2.

I'm guessing TVASports will have coverage, should I get Sportsnet?

One quote from the black book about one of my favorite players in the draft (Adam Sykora):

“He’s not big, he’s not a guy with ridiculous skill, but he’s one of the smartest and hardest working players in this draft. He brings value through his passion and willingness to give it everything he has on every single shift. At the simplest level, He makes a positive impact on the game for his team. I’ll be shocked if he doesn’t play in the NHL.” - HP Scout, Mark Edwards, June 2022

Kasper apparently speaks 3 languages already and is learning some french. Impressive. Kid would be my #1 trade up target.

the habs have i think 3 3rd rounder as well as 3 4th rounders, there is no need to use the 1st round 26th pick or the first pick in the 2nd round to move up, using edmontons 2nd rounder with some of the abundance of 3rd and 4 th rounders this year should be able to get the habs a late 1st rounder, maybe target teams with only a few pics in the entire draft , what does an 2nd rounder with 2 3rd rounders and a 4th or 2 get you? is it worth a mid 1st for a team like pittsburgh for example , also a pick could be substituted for a b level prospect
