There is still lots of youngsters on the roster such as Berggren, Lundkvist, Johansson and Ersson.

Where the f*** is Lander? We need him badly.

Wonder if Rakell might be given a centre spot. He's sometimes listed as centre in NHL and now when Getzlaf might be gone from first centre...

A.Kempe - Rakell - Bratt / Olofsson
Lindberg - P.Lindholm - Friberg
Frödén - Wingerli - Berggren
Sörensen - Rasmussen - M.Kempe
Hållander - Lundeström - C.Klingberg

OEL / Larsson - Lundqvist
Holm - Nygren
Dahlbeck - (Andersson)
Pilut - Lööv

Ma / Fo / Gu / Ull
Reideborn
Ersson

My Swedish is not very good, do I understand it right that the roster is complete now with just 5 NHL guys? I expected at least 7-8 of them or so.

According to the article:

Cut:
Philip Holm
Markus Ljungh
Emil Sylvegård
Emil Larsson
Jonathan Berggren

Added:
Viktor Fasth
Pontus Holmgren
Henrik Tömmernes
Carl Klingberg
Adrian Kempe
Rickard Rakell
Marcus Sörensen
Isac Lundström
Victor Olofsson

Yeah, but are they waiting for some more players who could possibly come from the North America?

Garpenlöv was very coy about that when asked in the post-game interview. He said something along the lines of "we will bring 28 players to Riga and then we have to register at least 18 players for the first game, we will see how we many we register". So it is very much up in the air

Only 6 players can be added later AFAIK, so registering 22 is obvious.

Yep, I imagine they will register even more. It is a very condensed schedule, and I don't expect there to be many, if any, additions after the first round. Would imagine maybe 2-3 spots being left open.

Considering the number of Swedish players in the NHL, it seems like Sweden might be the team most affected by this year's situation with so many players preferring to take holiday / family time afrer this COVID season.

If that Expressen article is true:

Victor Olofsson, phew. Great addition. Emotional cuts made now today, not tomorrow. Berggren and Holm.

Only Dahlbeck and Lööv among "physical" defensemen implies one or two such is on the way from NHL. If not Folin is given a few days. With 27 players above there is plenty of room to add players later when all 27 won't be on the team immediately. My guess is only one of Pilut, Pudas and Sellgren will make the final team.

Shock: No Berggren, instead the others on that line, Wingerli and Fröden, Jesper who might switch side. Or be happy on the team until cut.

Forwards (15):

Adrian Kempe - Rickard Rakell - Victor Olofsson
Oscar Lindberg - Pär Lindholm - Max Friberg
Marcus Sörensen - Andreas Wingerli - Jesper Frödén
Filip Hållander - Dennis Rasmussen - Carl Klingberg
Pontus Holmberg - Isac Lundeström - Mario Kempe

Defensemen (9):

NHL ? - Nils Lundkvist
Henrik Tömmernes - Viktor Lööv
Klas Dahlbeck - Magnus Nygren
Lawrence Pilut - (Rasmus Andersson ?)
-----
Jesper Sellgren - Jonathan Pudas
Albert Johansson

Goalies (3):

NHL / Fasth / Reideborn / (Ersson)

Makes no sense cutting Holm and Berggren. And i hate that only reason M.Kempe is on this roster is becuse of Adrian Kempe. Mario is not good enough. With cutting Berggren i assume Wingerli and Fröden will not be part of starting 12.

Lines against Denmark 22 may?

Rakell - Holmberg - A.Kempe
V.Olofsson - Lundeström - Sörensen
Rasmussen - Lindberg - M.Kempe
Klingberg - P.Lindholm - Friberg

Pilut - Dahlbeck
Lööv - Tömmernäs
Sellgren - Lundkvist

Reidenborn

Noticeably, the status of the Calgary and Vancouver players are missing. Perhaps they will wait until their season is over. I guess there is still hope for Markström, Rasmus Andersson and Höglander?

I think the defence looks really weak, wouldn't have minded if they had invited some of the younger NHL defensemen we have, like Björnfot or Brännström.

Was not particularly impressed by Redeiborn, so lets hope Fasth is ready to go.

The forwards looks ok given the circumstances. Kempe, Rakell and Olofsson are all candidates for our best-on-best team (even though none of them would be locks) and there is some exciting youth like Holmberg and Hållander.
