If na-players can come, i wonder if Garpenlöv will look at AHL. Händemark, Brome, Lias and Liljegren are intresting players.

There is many younger players in NHL who is flying under the rader.

Lagesson/Lindström/Carlsson/Björnfot/J.Larsson/Brännström when looking at d.

Forwards there is Bemström/Lundeström/Stenlund/Boqvist/Grundström.

2 or 3 of these guys could be good addition.

Kontiola is 36 years old and got invited to Team Finland.

Maybe someone like Joakim Lindström (if he wants to play) could be invited for us when his team is out. His whole line with Pär Lindholm and Melker Karlsson are very good, they fit in international hockey.

Sure. Might be in smaller roles but nevertheless. Don't know if there will be masses jumping ship overseas or if they all want to be on the common NHL plane to Riga.

I'm thinking our third defense line (in reality) might consist of two of our younger established (but not stars) NHL players (mentioned Jacob Larsson, Anaheim and Erik Brännström, Ottawa. Or Christian Djoos, Detroit etc.). While our seventh to ninth defense spots (C19 allows for 28 players on a team, 15 + 9 + 4 etc.) might see european defenders like Philip Holm, Pilut and Philip Broberg (!) if not Oilers want him in the playoffs.

Our chronic shortage of righthanded defenders means one of Erik Karlsson and John Klingberg MUST join. Only Rasmus Andersson of our other defensemen of note is righthanded. From AHL a high-odds player defender might be Axel Andersson (RD). If both Karlsson and Klingberg can't be here and we value a rd. Nils Lundqvist might be given a chance.

At forward I think Fagemo might be thought of as well. David Gustafsson seem to have a good AHL season but is on the farm of a playoffs team. Lias and Grundström seem closest thus. But... "SHL" players are only interresting if they have "fresh and season long pumping big ice SEL blood" in their veines.

The only players from KHL that can join the final team now are: Många återbud inför VM från svenska spelare i KHL: "Har tackat nej"

1. Oscar Lindberg (C/LW) Dynamo Moskva 44 11 25 36 0.82 80 13
8. Malte Strömwall (RW) SKA St. Petersburg 47 16 9 25 0.53 20 -1
12. Dennis Rasmussen (C) Metallurg Magnitogorsk 36 10 6 16 0.44 12 16
---- (not on team) ----
4. Mario Kempe (C/W) CSKA Moskva 34 11 11 22 0.65 20 15

4. Lawrence Pilut (D) Traktor Chelyabinsk 57 7 21 28 0.49 34 5
5. Philip Holm (D) Metallurg Magnitogorsk 22 2 7 9 0.41 12 9 VM
7. Viktor Lööv (D) Jokerit 55 3 16 19 0.35 41 17
12. Jonathan Pudas (D) Jokerit 41 2 8 10 0.24 6 6
-----
11. Klas Dahlbeck (D) CSKA Moskva 53 2 12 14 0.26 41 28

2. Adam Reideborn Ak Bars Kazan 29 1.82 .931
-----
1. Lars Johansson CSKA Moskva 24 1.59 .932

And from the NLA:

Carl Klingberg
Marcus Krüger

Sweden lost to Denmark in the second game, 2-3. Just 2 horrible games by Sweden. These players are not good enough we need all reinforcements we can get.

The Canucks play their last game on the 18th while Sweden plays its first game on the 22st,...this Corona man. We could have had Höglander on the team. On the other hand...this means we will not have Loui Eriksson on the team! :thumbu:

btw lots of cocky danes on facebook.....we will see how cocky they are 22 may.

Lasse Johansson has declined. Says he needs rest.

thats a shame...other KHL goalies like Hellberg, Lindbäck declined too it seems and Fasth is injured.

Maybe call in Enroth? Reidenborn/Enroth/Söderblom would be decent.

Their final game is on the 19th. Höglander is at best a 4th liner if everybody else accepts that's currently out of the playoffs right now, BUT Vancouver's final game is against Calgary, currently 6 points outside the playoffs, and carrying Markström, Lindholm, Backlund, & Andersson.

Bäckström, Larsson, Wingerli, Berggren, Reidenborn and Fröden have been added. Rydahl is back from injury. Lindberg and Stromvall did not play against Denmark but will play the games against Norway.

Emil Larsson is a guy im cheering for to make it to WC. He finally had a injury free season. Just a monster of a player...

And with that; Viksten, Lindqvist, Strandberg, Pettersson, & Holm have been removed.

Also, assuming Nashville makes POs over Dallas, and Calgary+Vancouver players can't come due to their schedules, then the contracted NHLers available are:

Rakell - Ziba - Bratt
Olofsson - ? - Kempe
? - ? - ?
? - Jo.Larsson - ?

OEL - Klingberg
Brännström - EK65

Not including Lindblom because he probably declines due to the circumstances, and I don't see Hägg, Ja.Larsson, Grundström, Björnfot, Johnsson, Bemström, & Carlsson getting invited.

I really dont see the need to bring over J.Larsson. He is a decent player and all but Lindberg can do what he does too.

I assume u mean Victor Olofsson/Adrian Kempe...not Mario Kempe/Fredrik Olofsson?

Brännström with Ek65 would be too bad defensively.

Rakell - Ziba - Bratt
Olofsson - Rasmussen - Kempe
Fröden - Wingerli - Berggren
Friberg - Lindberg - E.Larsson
Wedin, Hållander

OEL - Klingberg
Lööv - EK65
Brännström - Dahlbeck/Folin
Holm - Lundkvist

Markström
Reidenborn
Ersson

Victor, & Adrian ofc. Lindberg is pretty bad(my main viewing come from his time in Vegas), much prefer Jo.Larsson, if he can play like he did in Buffalo.
Markström's a Flame, so he's a no go. Hållander, & Wedin over Eklund is a weird choice, Fröden we'll see.

Also: you can carry 28 players this year.

Lindberg have been good in KHL and EHT. Did a good job at WC 2018 aswell.

Ah yes...you are right. What goalies then if you speculate?

Well with 28 players i let Eklund and Ljungh in. :thumbu: and...Joel Persson/Pilut perhaps.

Fröden have shown great chemistry in EHT with Berggren and Wingerli.
