Anyone know why Soderstrom isn't there? I know he was in Arizona during their playoffs (not dressed). Is it just assumed that ARI won't make him available? I would think he's going to be starting the season in the SHL but haven't heard anything.
Neither Söderström, Broberg, Björnfot, nor Alnefelt are there. Söderström, & Broberg were in the bubble when roster was announced, the other two we don't know, they're 19 though and played last WJC's so if they're available come WJCs they will get invited.

Core team I believe:

Raymond – Henriksson – Holtz
Holmström – Costmar – Gunler
Söderblom – Sundsvik – Nybeck
Heineman - Grewe

Johansson – Söderström
Björnfot – Broberg
Wallinder – Grans

Alnefelt
Wallstedt

Torgersson might be a sleeper, like Alfredsson. Guess developments on some players in SEL might fill in the blanks at the forward position. This core team is quite heavy on players born 2001.

That defense is legit.

Enköping was terrible. What was even the point of playing a team like that?

Difficult to really say anything after the game but players who stood out more than I expected were Holtz, Sundsvik and Holmström. Defense wasn't really tested but Andrae stood out offensively, he should definitely have been on the PP. Thought Johansson and especially Hjorth had some weak moments with the puck.

Does Lysell have any chance to make this team?

They usually bring 1 (last year 2) U18 player per year so I think there's a chance. It's Lysell and/or Edvinsson. Competition for W & D spots will be tough.

Biggest takeaway from this season (and preseason) so far has been Karl Henriksson. He's been phenomenal.

If we had the chance to chose one U23 player to this team, would you go with Elias Pettersson or Alexander Nylander? ;)

PS. Dark horse: Rasmus Dahlin (but our defense depth is good).

"We could either outheart them, outsmart them or outdart'em" (unknown)

An interesting food for thought for you here.

How should Montén do with the PP?

In the national teams, Raymond has always been on the right side with Holtz as the trigger on the left.

However, with how well Raymond is doing on the left side in Frölunda, should Montén investigate another PP strategy? And if so, how could it look?
