And considering this is his first year of NA hockey, that's pretty darned impressive.Petrov wrapped up the OHL regular season today with 1G 1A
His final stat line:
63GP - 90P (40G 50A) +32
I may dive into comparable seasons later, but this is an incredible season. He was on a good team, but he proved he could produce on and off that dominant top line.
North Bay finished 2nd in the East and will play the Ottawa 67’s in round 1. Hopefully they can go on a long drive, led by Petrov

Hamilton is just a really deep and solid team. 11-0 in the playoffs so far with a goal differential of +33 and by far the best record in the OHL this year.Added an assist, but the Troops lost 6-4, going down 3-0 in the series that may be over on Friday.
He also started a scrum at the final whistle. He's definitely got some jam in his game.
Getting a look on the top line with Mitch Russell out.
Is that your real picture ?When he does something I like I'll race to the keyboard and show some love.
Even their lesser known guys are having a great playoff. Grushnikov is a guy to really watch in Dallas. Another Esa Lindell in the making.Hamilton is just a really deep and solid team. 11-0 in the playoffs so far with a goal differential of +33 and by far the best record in the OHL this year.
Or he’s a Flames fan who made the account strictly to troll people here…Says the fanboy of a potential bust.. or maybe you are the fan of just his 'speed' and not the player
Wow I watched his interview, incredible how fast he picked up the English language, and sounds so fluent in just 1 year this kid is a smart cookie, we just might have a sleeper star in him
Leafs fan is my bet. The seething irrational hate for Hyman is probably fueled by salt.Or he’s a Flames fan who made the account strictly to troll people here…

There’s critique and then there’s bitching and moaning and attention seeking where it just gets old. Whine long enough and they are no longer trying to impart their ideas on how to make the team better… they’ve crossed the line where they may as well just be Flames fans.It really is amazing how much the experience of using this site changes when the GreatKeiths etc etc of the world get removed from the boards.
Really, great progress the last 10 months.
Great we need a make up for the Yakupov and Puljujarvi picks.guest post
Sooo... for some reason the mainboards petrov prospects thread either got deleted or
is hidden or what ever, so i have to post to here
Petrov takes the lead in the OHL scoring lead. 69 points in 46 games (21 goals)
His shot is still top notch, tons of snipes all over twitter.I forgot about this young lad!! Nice to see he's having another solid season in junior. Fingers crossed he's another late round gem like Desharnais is looking to be.
I think Savoie just over Petrov, then Bourgault and Lavoie. imo.I wonder who has the best shot between Lavoie, Petrov, Savoie, and Bourgault
