Get your head out of your ass, Dale.
With Lafreniere & Hayton on the team, he may not need to.

He's put together a shutdown line, presumably to get his point across re: style/message, but they don't really need one. USA didn't load up yesterday and I struggle to see any dominant lines otherwise. Canada can demolish this tournament but they may just muck along a bit and win more closely. Maybe the long game shapes them into two-way form. They are in a very strong group but it's a short tournament and building deeper and more functional offensive cohesion seems like the better way to go. They've got the biggest game-breakers in this tournament and Dale can't fully f*** that up. But if they can be held down you never know with that sort of approach.

Lauko out for the Czechs, Kupari for the Finns. Massive blows to their teams. Makes the road bit easier for Canada.

Ah he's not playing? No wonder they're losing.
I'm not sure he had a single shift. (Edit: one shift, 48 seconds officially.) Risk bombing out while also alienating your best player in London? Brilliant.

Canada relied on taking over physically to beat the US. Can't really do that against Russia these days.

Wow. Haven't see Canada play at all until now. They look horrible.

It's a massacre.

Hunter and short tournaments seem like a bad mix. It's his first WJC and it's showing. He coached at the Ivan Hlinka once but those Canadian teams are stacked.
