Lots of water out there. Had a couple floods from bloated creeks overflow today that affected some customers. Also, our golf course taking a beating again with more flooding. Awesome.

Expect anything with Alberta's weather. I remember seeing it documented that in 1987 Edmonton received snow on May 19th and two months later got hit on black friday.

Wind warning in effect for:

• City of Edmonton - St. Albert - Sherwood Park

Very strong winds that may cause damage are expected.

Very strong west to northwest winds will develop this evening with gusts possibly exceeding 100 km/h. Winds will weaken by Monday morning.
Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

A developing low pressure system will bring rain, strong winds, and thunderstorms to much of central Alberta today. Some of these thunderstorms may become severe in nature.
Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.

4:22 PM MDT Sunday 31 May 2020 Tornado warning in effect for: Rocky View Co. near Irricana Beiseker and Kathyrn At 4:22 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible. The tornado is located near Beiseker and is moving northwest at 20 km/h. This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. If you hear a roaring sound or see a funnel cloud, swirling debris near the ground, flying debris, or any threatening weather approaching, take shelter immediately. Go indoors to a room on the lowest floor, away from outside walls and windows, such as a basement, bathroom, stairwell or interior closet. Leave mobile homes, vehicles, tents, trailers and other temporary or free-standing shelter, and move to a strong building if you can. As a last resort, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris.

Sweeeeeeet I'm driving to calgary as we speak and this wind has been howling all the way from Fargo, ND.

Near Medicine Hat now and I'm just starting to see the clouds build as I go west. This could be an interesting 3 to 4 hrs

Anyone else get the feeling God is rather pissed off at the human race as a whole right now?

I'm noticing this year more weather systems seem to be further to the west rather than usually being in the east.


Here in Canada more active weather is showing up in western canada and US instead of the typical central and eastern sections.
