IMO, Windsor didn't hit the skids so much in the second half, as they were overachievers based on a pretty breezy first-half schedule. They played the top three teams in the division six times after Christmas, going 1-4-1. If you flip their two forfeits in January back to wins (which they originally were), then their second-half record against the bottom half of the West was 4-0-1 in 2020.Brock knocks out Windsor. The Lancers really hit the skids in the 2nd half.
EDIT - Brock not Guelph
Not enough top end skill this year!STFX, UPEI and Windsor are all eliminated.
Not surprised that Moncton won. Just seems strange with X out so quickly,
Not enough top end skill this year!
They got something like 11 or 12 guys graduating this year too.
Question about Moncton. Is this the first time since 2012 that Les Aigles have won a playoff round?
Nope, they swept X back in 2014 in the quarter finals but went on to lose 3-1 vs Acadia in the semis.Question about Moncton. Is this the first time since 2012 that Les Aigles have won a playoff round?
While that will definitely hurt they are still one of the top recruiting teams in the country.
I thought they underachieved this season. Probably because I expected Raaymakers to come in and be a solid #1. That didn't happen.
This is nuts! Vic Findlay just reported that Guelph captain and OUA scoring champion Mikkel Aagaard is signing a deal in Germany, effective immediately. He did not play in today's game 2, which Guelph won 6-3 to force a game 3.
Agreed. Even if it isn't a DEL contract, you'd think a Division 2 deal was definitely there.I find it hard to believe a similar opportunity wouldn’t have presented itself for the 2020-2021 season.
You have to learn win in this league. Curse of 1st in West continuesThose OUA fans who picked Western to upset UofT knew what they were talking about.
