It doesn't appear they have that cap room even without Koivu, and regardless I don't see them touching that contract.

he’s just really slow now. Really, really, really slow. He can still wire it but with the new third line of Ennis-Khaira-Archibald firing on all cylinders, I’d imagine we want to get more speed from the fourth line.

He's just slooooooooooooooooooooooow. He's still useful on the PP and can still shoot. After rotating Chiasson and Neal in and out, I suspect Chiasson sits for the rest of the season. Neal has had great chances on rebounds on the PP. If he had last season's luck... he'd have 5-7 goals.

Byron still has game but Montreal are deeper this year and the cap hit is quite high, think he clears.

One of the best waiver pickups in recent times overall, he has been great for the Habs since we got him from Calgary.
