Can we now officially declare the Miami Heat's Finals run last year a bubble fluke?

haven't they been without guys like butler, dragic, and herro for long stretches of time this season?

they were a bad road team last year before the stoppage. The bubble made them look better than they really are

a "mediocre" team doesn't beat the bucks and celtics and then take the lakers to 6 games in the finals. butler played out of his mind in the finals so the johnson comparison is laughable

Exactly

Turns out this Rockets team is not that bad.

I think you're right. Here are their top 4 in PPG (excluding Harden's games with the Rockets);

NBA just proved how tone deaf they can be with this ASG announcement.

In the middle of a pandemic..... who thought having people fly in from all over to one central location was a great idea?

Nevermind they are already playing a condensed schedule and possibly have the Olympics happening this summer. Players are going to bow out and take a fine/suspension instead.

I'm watching Lakers Nuggets from last night on DVR and the Lakers are wearing Blue and white. Los Angeles is in cursive. This is a fashion faux pax. You cannot wear this. Where's the yellow? Where's the purple? The Lakers aren't blue and white.

And then you think Denver would have some sense but those Nuggs jerseys ugly AF too. They wearing red and white? What the f***? Where are the baby blue Carmelo Nuggets jerseys or at least the dark blue Nuggets jerseys? What is this shit?

Why does the NBA insist on hauling out these alternate unis every game? This isn't an online 2k match. This is a PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL GAME. PUT THE ALTERNATES AWAY

I hate that shit. Was watching Knicks - Magic a couple of weeks back and the Magic was wearing white and orange while the Knicks were in black with some hints of blue and orange. Just confusing AF and looking so bad.

Almost all of these alt jerseys are a lot worse than what the NHL is doing with their "reverse retros". A few of them look fresh though.

The NHL is more responsible and subdued than the NBA. They are starting to go down the slippery slope of uniforms but still wear their home jerseys for home games. Meanwhile in the NBA for about 90% of games the teams are wearing some alternate contrived to sell jerseys for more money. I was fine with the ads on jerseys. I'm not fine with trying to modernize a jersey to something weird as a cash grab.

Durant was held out of the start of the game because of contact tracing. He was allowed to enter the game about halfway into the first quarter, and now he just got removed for good in the third for the same reason he wasn't allowed to start in the first place.

NBA jerseys in general there days are f***ing hideous.

The Jazz are a damn good team, I hope they win the West although I know they likely won't.

durant should've never even been allowed to play if the person's test was "inconclusive"

but i guess according to their protocol, a player can still play even if a close contact's test is inconclusive, just as long as its not positive. yeah, that's a great idea. good job NBA

The league let Tyler Herro play the 2nd half of a game against the Kings after a person in his house tested positive, and they won by a point. So not only did the league allow the teams to be exposed, they probably took a Kings win off the board.
