Ah, I see. If we lose in Nashville, we lock up 9th-best odds, being unable to catch Chicago and Philadelphia on ROW. Yeah, if we lose it becomes a 3-way race between VAN/EDM/ANA for 7/8/9. The winner of that race has an 85%+ chance of a top-8 pick. Cool.

I'm cool with that. I still can't bring myself to actively cheer against the team, but I would very much prefer they drop these last two games.

That said whatever happens happens... I feel like I'm becoming a little numb to disappointment at this point of the season.

Unlike the past 3 years, have absolutely zero excitement for lottery day. Possibly winning the lottery and getting a top 3 pick doesn't get any type of feeling from me anymore.

So this is the year they win it.
I’m still excited. Whatever you have a chance to increase draft position it’s excited. You never know

Outside the top four, the biggest one-position difference in lottery odds is between 9th and 10th. Canucks are about 80% probability at present of finishing 9th in lottery odds (23rd in standings).

7th 6.5% #1, 20.4% top 3
8th 6.0%, 19.0%
9th 5.0%, 16.0%
10th 3.5%, 11.4%
11th 3.0%, 9.8%
12th 2.5%, 8.2%

What calibre of player could we get at 9th/10th overall? How is this draft looking?

Could we expect someone like Horvat who we got in that same range in the draft?

Need to hope for a Ducks win tomorrow vs the Kings.

Yes, if they could finish 8th last, that would make a difference. Why must they do this every year? Remember the Matthews draft they went on that Cali road swing at the end of the year and won out? f***ing idiots.

I will be thrilled with any one of Turcotte , Zegras or Boldy . My preference is Turcotte but Boldy and Zegras are and will be great players too and who knows. Maybe Dach or Cozens slip in the draft to

I think we'll get top 3. The nhl likes us again i think. Maybe they will rig the lottery for us to win first overall
