Thats nice. However, in our present draft position (9), the odds are about 80% that we pick 9th or 10th. 15% chance of winning one of the 3 lottery spots.

Horvat + 8-10 OA + Markstrom to Avs for 1st would be fair, but I also really like Horvat and think he might be even better if we could manage to find upgrades on Eriksson/Virtanen/Leivo for him.

They could use a goaltender and as much as I like Markstrom I don't think goaltenders are very valuable assets and he'll be 30 next year. This would give them two pieces to try to push to be a contender now.

I managed to get Colorado winning + 10 + 12. I could have gone for 3 10-15s but Colorado winning was just too good.

I only have a few wishes for the draft lottery.....that neither Colorado or Edmonton wins the lottery; and that for just once the Canucks either stay put or heaven help us, actually move up. Not too much to ask.

Sooner or later. Apparently later. We have about a 15 % chance this year. an 80 % chance of 9th or 10th.

I'm betting we'll get the 10th or the 11th pick. We always lose draft position when better teams leapfrog us in the lottery. I don't see any reason for that trend to stop now.

Unlike the past 3 years, have absolutely zero excitement for lottery day. Possibly winning the lottery and getting a top 3 pick doesn't get any type of feeling from me anymore.
