Jerry Jones vents about coaching

Garrett might be out of lives finally. Really, there's no reason for the Cowboys to be so mediocre. top 10 offense and defense, a great offensive coordinator (i imagine college teams come calling for him soon enough), skill players all over the place and the best they can do is 6-5? In that crappy division?

They should have been the first team besides the Patriots to clinch but here they are, with a very much still alive Eagles team right behind them.

Cowboys have high end talent. 3 top OL, legit 1WR, 1RB, very good QB. Dlaw on the DL, pair of excellent LB. Solid overall secondary.

But, they have to pay Dak coming off his rookie deal, and Cooper, coming off his 5th year option. That's upwards of $35 plus million over what they cost Dallas in cap space this year.

Looking ahead to some flex opportunities for Sunday night. Keep in mind, networks can only protect 1 game per week, and not more than 5 times per season.

Week 15: Minnesota @ LA Chargers is the current NBC game. CBS has both Buffalo @ Pittsburgh and Houston @ Tennessee at 1pm. Would also give us an extra 4pm game and it's a Fox double header week

Week 16: Kansas City @ Chicago is the current NBC game. Bears are technically still in it, but they have Dallas and Green Bay the next 2 weeks. Woof. It is once again a Fox doubleheader week, where they have Dallas @ Philadelphia at 4pm likely with the division title on the line, and New Orleans @ Tennessee at 1pm.

And now it’s been announced that the week 15 scenario I laid out has come to fruition. CBS choosing to keep the divisional game, knowing the likelihood that they’ll lose that in week 17
