49ers have the 2nd pick.

Totally forgot to include 49ers in my original post lol.

Ahh ok, I still doubt they move up if they are confident they can get Haskins at 6, they would probably want this years 1st and probably next years to begin with, if they were to swap they would probably want more picks added

To me it sounds like at least Leveon to the Browns. They have about $80 million in cap space.

That would make 0 sense. They have Chubb, who played great after Hyde was traded -- why would they waste money and bring someone in tot take snaps away from him?

If the Giants decide to trade OBJ for whatever reason, would a trade where they swapped 1st round positions this year plus next year's 1st from the 49ers be a fair deal?

I doubt they trade OBJ. Theres a reason they gave him the biggest WR deal ever. They want to keep him there and make him the face of the team.

Good point, though apparently they are trying to deal Duke Johnson.....leaving them just Chubb since they dealt Hyde last year

A lot of OBJ to the Browns speculation online but nothing from anyone reliable.

They'll eventually have Kareem Hunt as well unless he gets suspended for a full season.

according to jimmy johnsons's trd value chart, difference between 2nd and 6th overall is 16th ovr. pick. based on past trades, it's been far more than that for QBs and far less for other positions. then add another 1st which could be very high or very low. but let's assume somewhere in the middle and say it's also worth about 16th ovr pick. so two mid 1sts for OBJ. that seems a bit too high price for the 49ers but they do get a sure thing, as in top 3 WR in his prime and they really might lose only a late 1st rounder along with that trade down if things go well.

Yeah, doubt the Browns would get Bell. Not with Chubb and eventually Hunt there right now. I'm wondering if my Colts might kick the tires on signing Bell.

I don't think Ballard is interested, as a matter of fact I don't expect him to go after the top FAs despite the fact that he has enough space to sign all of them. He prefers looking for underrated bargain players that might fit the system.

I think the Colts were something like 4th in total run yards in the 2nd half of the season. They have their cow bell and 2 specialists already. Bell is simply not a need.

I'm not sold this FA strategy will work longterm. The 2018 NFL draft saved their butts big time last season. They won't have a draft like that every year obviously. At some point you need to spend for elite talent.

"the league suspended him indefinitely for violating its substance-abuse policy for a third time in as many years. "Basically, guys, I quit," Irving said. "I don't want to talk about a suspension and all this other nonsense. I'm outta there. I'm not doing this s--- no more." Suspended Irving says he's quitting, blasts NFL

I'm sure this story was posted many times. I just wanted to show how he was suspended indefinitely, says he's quitting  , and then blasts the league.

I agree with you, that was my frustration with Polian also. Relying completely on the draft is a long process. You just won't fill every need in a single off season, not even if you have the best scouting department in NFL.

It's not as if Ballard doesn't take Free Agency seriously, it just other teams are willing to throw ridiculous capital on just solid players. Colts were in on a number of FAs last off-season, but they just weren't willing to go to those extremes.

This is what franchise tag does. When tier 1 players are off the market, demand for tier 2 players sky rockets.

And I agree with him.
There's no reason the league should be testing for THC while shoving opiates down their throats.

So good on him for walking away...suspended indefinitely doesn't mean suspended permanently. He would have gotten his job back this year at some point.

Exactly.

And like he said, he's in the nfl because he can play, not because he's a model citizen. If he chooses to partake in smoke in his free time instead of pills and booze, who cares. Stupid archaic rules and mindsets.

I'm quite surprised they didn't go in on Brown honestly.

Overtime has to go back to 15 minutes if they do that.
It should anyways, we've seen a number of times now that teams getting the ball first just run down the clock and get their one shot at the field goal (if they don't score a touchdown).

Don't they need to do something about on side kicks though? Weren't they drastically more unsuccessful this year as a result of the previous rule change?
