It would be the Jets' luck this year to go 3-13 and be drafting fifth considering there is just so much god-awful slop in the NFL. The Redskins, Miami and Cincinatti could all legitimately be 0 or 1-win teams if they didn't play each other and us.

I'm convinced Matt Nagy bet Chargers moneyline this week.

I don't wanna be over dramatic....but his decision making in the final minute should be straight up fire-able. How do you justify, with a timeout remaining, letting the clock run all the way down 50 seconds in less than great weather and with a notably bad kicker? HOW? I want to know what this guy was thinking.

One of the dumbest coaching decisions I've ever seen.

Gase can’t get another chance next season. He just can’t.

I don't see any way around it. First of all there's the chalk reason that you don't want to have three coaches in three years for Darnold. Plus and more importantly, Gase basically hired Joe Douglas and Douglas got a six year deal so he isn't going anywhere either.

The only way I see Gase getting offed is if they are REALLY bad, like 2-14 which would be really bad considering they still have four games against the Fish, Bengals and Redskins.

Well if you are sticking with Darnold, then it doesn't matter that much to have a top 2 pick.

Nobody told me there'd be days like these...

Brees back and picked right up where he left off. Saints playing well. The health of their O-line likely defines their season. If their line was healthy last year in the playoffs I think they play in the SB. Defense is better this year so we will see.

NFC is loaded

Saints, Packers, Seahawks, Niners, Vikings, Cowboys all could realistically be in the Super Bowl IMO.
Definitely not the Cowboys, idk if a team that can look as bad as they did against the Jets can be a realistic super bowl team.

Definitely yes to those other teams.

Vikings have been lights out the past month or so. Seahawks have Russ and have been playing well. Cowboys could absolutely get there if their OLine holds up.

Kirk Cousins is still the Vikings QB and I don’t think he can beat a truest good team. Wilson is probably the league MVP, but I’m not sure of the rest of the team.

Welp Gregg Williams' supposedly great defense isn't exactly distinguishing itself this season either. Two flat out easy TD's given up.

Doesn't help that our Corners are garbage.

Darnold doing very little to put the narrative of last week behind him tbh. Yeah he had a great opening drive then one stupid momentum-changing INT and everything's gone to **** since. It would be nice if the offensive line actually 'tried' to block someone in the last several minutes though.

The O-Line is really pissing me off.

Did you see #75 Edoga just let his defender waltz right by him to sack Sam?

And that player was on the same USC TEAM as Sam, too!

No Pride, No Guts, No Balls = Jets O-line.

That's not to say that Sam is blameless.

Those two INTs he threw were bad decisions on his part...suggests he forgets exactly what route the receiver runs or he throws it up in the area instead of looking to see the position of his WR.

But those are learning experiences for a young QB struggling with an O-Line that won't protect him.

I would be concerned if the following years he is doing the same exact thing.

why not? Its the same as a shovel pass.

But it's not. Shovel passes move forward. The ball doesn't even move forward with what Rodgers just did. It's the same as a hand off, except you lightly push the ball straight up about 15 inches. Everyone may as well start doing that with every RB in motion & pad their stats.

The ball should have to go beyond the line of scrimmage to be considered a forward pass. Everything else should be considered a lateral and a fumble if dropped.

It’s hard to gauge how good the Niners are. They have gotten meh QB play and at some point you think they can’t win just by running and playing defense.
You can win that way if your QB is only throwing 1 pick per game, he throws for ~3600, and you get ~2700 yards on the ground out of your backfield.

Their D looks like they're doing more than playing. Stomping, routing, beasting, destroying, take your pick.

All that said, outside of LA they've played the cream of the crap. That stretch of Seattle, GB, and B'more in 3 out of 4 will be the true barometer.
