I don't get the logic of going for 2 there. You make it, you're ... down by 19? Then what, you'll score 2 more TDs and get 2 points on both of those as well and now you're down 3? Kick the XP, you'll be down 20; worry about getting the first TD from there.

And then the onside kick. Well, if you know you're probably not going to stop their offense, why not. Throw in the towel, hope for a miracle I guess.

Even Aikman was expecting the onside kick. That is a good reason for kicking it deep and not giving up field position.

Why the **** are the Packers going for 2 down 21, they really think they could hit three two-point conversions and get a FG to tie? Might as well have kept it at four TD's to win and not chased points.
They should think they can do that, yes

In the list of rules changes I'd like to see at some point is one that would seem to be a no-brainer: the offense takes a delay of game penalty, the clock stops and doesn't start again until you snap the ball. [What I'd really like to see from here: the play clock goes to something like 15 seconds; a second delay of game penalty is 10 yards, and we keep adding an extra 5 until you get your shit together and snap the ball.]

I'll also add: you take a false start penalty, it's 5 yards and the clock can run if it's still running, but you have whatever time is left on the play clock to snap the ball. If you then get a delay of game penalty after that, it's 10 yards instead of 5.

The Niners really just have no trust in Garropolo at all do they
32 carries, 273 yards. If my team is carrying the ball like that while I'm up 20+, I keep handing it off until the defense shows it has any idea how to stop it and/or the lead gets whittled under 14.

This gets back to single-digits, all the "Shanahan blew a 25-point second half lead in the Super Bowl" remarks are going to flow.

Rodgers doing what he needs to, but the defence is going to need to make a couple big plays here.
