Sounds like Werner will go to Liverpool if he’s comfortable not being an outright starter. Will still get plenty of games. I’m very into this, though it still seems unlikely.

Nothing ridiculous about it
No matter how you slice it, a smaller club at the end of this will be screwed. Will Leganes get a chance to replace Braithwaite? Suarez got hurt in January, and Dembele has a pretty long injury history, so they should've done their business in January. They knew the situation they were in.

Like i said its standard practice emergency injury signings happen. Mind you this does nothing for barca just a waste of money. He will barely get a sniff of footy. Those are the rules tho.

How's it ridiculous injury ridden teams need an outlet. It make sense.
Barca had an entire window to deal with it. Is Leganes going to get an extension now? Are they just going to have to suffer relegation because Barca can come in and pay a release clause for a player that isn't anywhere close to their quality.

Barca can just call up a youth player to sit on the bench when needed.

Again, Suarez was hurt prior to the window closing, Dembele has a long injury history, this was just bad planning by Barca by not having proper depth. They have more than enough players in youth that they could call up, they have players are loan that they could've brought back in January. Turan's loan deal was terminated.

He looked very good cutting in from the left yesterday.

THe injury that lead to the emergency signing was Dembele. Hence "emergency" Barca running out of players up front. A 17 year old has played way way too much. So, its acceptable. That would be a better option considering they bought a useless player but the rule makes sense.

If you know you are 1 injury from an "emergency" while the window is open, and you know you have a player with a long injury history, one that has already had a lengthy injury this season, then you should sign a player in that window as insurance.

On top of that they sold a forward that could've been used now. However, a team being dumb doesnt change the rules. They're in place for a reason.

The idea of an emergency signing outside of the window seems ridiculous and doesn't really make sense. All of these large clubs have big enough academies, youth and reserve squads to fill any injury gaps. Plan your depth better there shouldn't be wiggle room outside of a 'transfer window' otherwise it seems stupid to have it in the first place.
