Midfield was a black hole for United. Garner had some nice touches, but it's clear he needs more conditioning before he's ready for a real role with the senior squad.

Midfield set up looked weird. Garner as the DM then McTom and Lingard nowhere near him meaning United just passed the ball around the defence and Garner then struggled to get the ball up the pitch. Good experience for Garner though, his first start coming in that atmosphere. Williams was good at LB. Probably United's best player.

Braga also play at home on Thursday so they moved the game to avoid traffic congestion between the stadiums.

It's early so that it doesn't conflict with the CL games.

I'm guessing Braga get the "normal" start time because they have a higher club coefficient than Vitoria.

Without three central midfielders you are almost always going to struggle in modern football.

AZ beat Aztana at their own place 5-0. Boadu with a brace and an assist, but once again should've scored more. Missed an absolutely sitter, the ones you see in blooper compilations during the final seconds.

Still amazing to see an 18 year old score as easily, but he has a little while to go. Stengs had three secondary assists.
