Wolves, Wolfsburg, and Wolfsberger in the same group please.

This.

BTW, it's either "Wolfsberger AC/WAC" or "Wolfsberg". The town is Wolfsberg, "Wolfsberger" is the adjective relating to the town. Like "Liverpudlian" to Liverpool or "Mancunian" to Manchester etc.

Standard vs Arsenal, Frankfurt, Vitoria - don't think they will get out of the group but some nice matchups for the fans and no trips to Eastern Europe

Gent vs Wolfsburg, Saint Etienne, Olexandriya - I still find it hard to predict how good Gent are going to be this season, I think they have the potential to battle for 2nd place in this group but they'll need to improve their away form. Not a glorious draw by any means but still pretty though with some Ukrainian team as the big unknown.

Malmö vs Copenhagen will be a nice little "derby". Different countries but just a bridge apart

Not an easy group by any means, but could have been worse.

I would expect us to beat Cluj this time around, assuming we sort out the defence before the window closes.

I knew one English team would draw Astana, cue to woes about travel and the sheep sacrifice story in their tabloids

Full draw
A: Sevilla, APOEL, Qarabag, F91 Dudelange
On paper easy group for Sevilla but one which they probably won't play their first team much and some far travel; Qarabag/APOEL met in the CL qualifying a few weeks ago with APOEL progressing despite losing at home; Dudelange once again get Spanish opposition but the group is a bit easier than the one they had last season

B: Dynamo Kiev, FC Copenhagen, Malmo, Lugano
Three Champions League drop outs in this group with Copenhagen and Malmo being domestic champions, overall pretty even group considering Dynamo Kiev aren't as strong as they used to be

C: FC Basel, Krasnodar, Getafe, Trabzonspor
Well balanced group albeit probably one not too attractive for neutrals. Krasnodar were disappointing in the CL playoffs but in good form domestically and usually do well in the EL while the surprise of La Liga last season Getafe will be happy with the draw

D: Sporting CP, PSV Eindhoven, Rosenborg, LASK Linz
Another group with three CL dropouts, can see Rosenborg or LASK take some points but really Sporting and PSV heavy favorites if they take the competition seriously

E: Lazio, Celtic, Rennes, Cluj
Intriguing group as Celtic and Cluj meet again while Lazio are legit contenders for top 4 in Serie A so who knows how seriously they take this as Rennes off to a flying start in Ligue 1

F: Arsenal, Eintracht Frankfurt, Standard Liege, Vitoria Guimaraes
Arsenal will be happy with the travel in this group and they should progress but none of these teams are EL "minnows". Frankfurt made the semis last season but definitely not as strong as last season with their departures

G: FC Porto, Young Boys, Feyenoord, Rangers
Another pretty competitive group as FC Porto looking to rebound from the CL failure, Feyenoord probably second favorites but Young Boys and Rangers will get results

H: CSKA Moscow, Ludogorets Razgrad, Espanyol, Ferencvaros
CSKA and Espanyol probably the favorites though Ludogortes always spring some surprises in the EL, Ferencvaros to me look very weak and I would guess are one of the weakest teams in this competition

I: Wolfsburg, Gent, St. Etienne, Oleksandriya
Not sure what to think of this group, Wolfsburg/Gent/St. Etienne should fight for the top two but I can see somebody dropping points in Ukraine, but Oleksandriya don't have much Euro pedigree so don't know their true strength and probably aren't as good as the likes of Dnipro/Metalist in the past

J: Roma, Monchengladbach, Istanbul Basaksehir, Wolfsberger
Roma-Gladbach is probably one of the better matches in the EL group stage as both teams are pretty attacking and Serie A vs. BL matches are usually fascinating. Istanbul Basaksehir almost won the Turk league last season but off to a poor start this season. Wolfsberger making their ELGS debut

K: Besiktas, Braga, Wolves, Slovan Bratislava
Decent draw for Wolves but Besiktas is always a difficult team to play especially in Turkey, Braga is usually solid in the EL while Slovan didn't do so well in the CL qualifying but eliminated PAOK in the EL playoffs

L: Manchester United, Astana, Partizan Belgrade, AZ Alkmaar
Difficult away trips for Manchester United but a group they should win, the teams below them are pretty much equal level for the fight to see who progress with them if all things go to plan

Annoying that we get cluj 4 times in the space of a couple of months. Rennes could be difficult, but we got through in a group with Leipzig as the 3 seed last year. Pleased with the Lazio draw.

Frankfurt is a nice travel. Cheap tickets and easy to go there by flight.

I hate this tournament though. But what to do? Just have to stick it together for one more season and then we will be back where we belong.

try and win it. not like you're too big for it. It's cute that you think so, though.

Won't be necessary since we will be top 4 in the league by a margin. We are top ten on UEFA coefficient. In front of the glorious Liverpool. Of course we're too big for this shit. If you deny that you're a fool.

That’s not even true, but if it was, it would be even more sad if they were in front while winning less trophies.

Yeah, the one on UEFA’s site isn’t this seasons where points have already been counted. Do try to keep up and stop living in the past.

It's for the 18/19 season. We'll see where we are when this season is finished. Meaningless to count some randompoints at the beginning of the season.

But the point wasn't whether Arsenal are in front of Liverpool or not. The point was that the club is top 10 on the ranking and doesn't belong in this tournament. Only fools would say that.

It's 3 games into a PL season which you beat 2 terrible teams and got run by a good team. I really don't know where you guys are getting this idea that you're a f***ing world power.

They belong in this tournament because they aren’t good enough in the league. They didn’t even win this tournament when they were in it last season. Simple as that, that’s all that matters.

Europa League points are worth less so they’ll be lower.
