Also, and this is coming from a person that would be please to acquire Coleman, Dzingel is also a cautionary tale. He was in the middle of only his 2nd 20 goal season when he was traded from a bad team. He did nothing for a Columbus team that was in the playoffs, and his a fringe player for a playoff contender this year in Carolina. Coleman didn't become an NHLer until he was 26 years old on a bad team, and he's in the middle of his 2nd 20 goal season.
There's a reasonable chance at 28 years old, this is the absolute peak of Coleman. You're not penciling him in as a Top 6 forward. He's a guy that is going to play more of a checking role, and you have a fairly similar guy in Blake Comeau. Comeau was a 17 and 24 goal scorer in his 3rd and 4th years in the NHL as well. Think of Steve Ott too who also had a very short window as a scorer.
I'm just saying historically, this isn't the type of player that sustains his offensive production for very long.
