On the plus side, both 2nd-place Colorado (four points ahead of the Gulls with a game in hand) and 3rd-place Stockton (two points ahead of the Gulls with a game in hand) lost in regulation last night as well, leaving both teams within striking distance, especially with three games remaining against each opponent.

Not only did Terry have 4 points, but he also had 7 shots on goal. Hopefully this is the start of a streak for him. Another huge win for the Gulls, who are now 4 points clear of Ontario now that they have played the same number of games. They have actually tied Stockton for 3rd, but Stockton has 2 games in hand.

The Gulls are scheduled to play at home against San Jose on Friday, and then @ Ontario on Sunday. We will see if NHL/AHL games continue.

Andy Zilch pointed out during the broadcast that the Gulls are now 15-0-2 in games in which Comtois notches a point.

Gulls’ magic number is 19 points, with 11 games remaining. They hold the RW tiebreaker (24-22) and the ROW tiebreaker (28-27) over Ontario, and the RW tiebreaker over Stockton (24-23).

All assuming the season continues, of course.

Thoughts will they shut down for the season- take an extended break - or play to zero crowds?

I think (but this is only my guess) is that until they have tested all the players and staff AND got results - they will not be putting them on the ice even if without crowds.

We’ll have a nice group of homegrown young Centers in the AHL next year with Zegras, Lundestrom, Groulx, Morand, and Badini

Looks like the rest of the AHL season and playoffs was canceled. I wonder if NHL will follow or too much money to be lost in doing that.

If anyone is curious, the Gulls averaged 7,582 fans per home game this season, good enough for 5th in the AHL. They led the AHL over the previous 2 seasons with more than 9,000 per game.

Persson leaves on a 3 year deal with Vaxjo. Shame he didn't stick it out...it thought he could eventually make it.
