We haven't been knocked out of the playoffs yet, so they can't come in and tell us how bad the players on the team are, and how worthless our prospects are. Give it 3 more months.
Either that or he'll be back to scream about how great AV and Fletcher are, since he's been fondling them all year.

While it’s not turrible to keep him for another year because possibly homicidal mascots are in short supply, Laughton is such a good trade high candidate at this summer/fall/winter’s draft, along with He Who Must Not Be Named. Blowing a good chance for a 2nd rounder is one thing, but resist the urge to sign a 3/4 line tweener to a UFA contract, Chuckles. Resist. The. Urge.

Twitter polls are inherently...just for fun or are silly.

But this...what in the fresh f*** is this?

You mean you aren’t intellectually stimulated by a poll that makes you choose 1/4 players who all play different positions, 2 of which are on year 1 of their ELCs, while the others won’t be signed for at least another year?

You’re such a wet blanket, Ted.

And the answer is Ratcliffe.

Oof size: titanic
The question is, how do we rank the massive "oofs"?

Sanheim+Frost+1st for Trouba
or
Couturier + for Galchenyuk
or
Saying Hanzal > Couturier
?

There's plenty more but this is a nice set for now.

(For the record, the first one was said last offseason and the other two were said in the summer of 2017. All were from the same poster.)

I dunno David, last time I checked, hard to be a NHL power forward when you're 6'6 208 (training camp measurement), Ratcliffe needs to fill out a bit.
Kevin Hayes had a nice rookie year at age 22, at 6'5 216, but it's hard to find a lot of 6'5/6'6 guys who were big time players at 20.

Looking at the TC roster, Bunnaman was listed at 6'3 226, that seems a tad heavy, maybe he needed to work off a few lbs to get quicker.

This is my favorite. Coming from a guy who is on podcasts with Meltzer, Myrtetus, etc all the time, and used to have his own prospect show on NHL's SiriusXM channel.

Heck, I'm still not sure Caufield will end up better than Brink.

Brink may end up with an inch and 5-10 lbs on Caufield, at that size that can be significant (be able to stand up against a stiff breeze if they ventilate rinks against COVID spread on the ice). If he continues to improve his skating the gap is going to narrow.

Caufield 5'7 163 BD 1/7/01 36g 19-17 36
Brink 5'8 159 BD 7/8/01 28g 11-13 24

six months age difference doesn't seem a lot, but at 17-18 years old it can be significant.
