Yes, somehow he got Neuvirth injured (breathed on him?), Lyon injured in August before training camp, Stolarz injured in the AHL.
Unfortunately he couldn't figure out to get Mrazek injured.

You now what's nuts? None of them worked their goalies like Hakstol did. Remember when I went through several years of starts from every starting goalie and saw how many played stretches like, say, 4 games in 6 nights with a back to back and no holiday/league mandated break?

There were only a handful of goalies who saw that usage over the course of several years. Most of them had breaks. Those who didn't became injured with the lone exception of price. No team was repeating such things annually like Hakstol was.

Hakstol was an outlier in terms of how awful he was at handling goalies.
It's too bad they can't sue him. How great would it be to see Hak's stupid face in the defendant's chair sitting across from an army of hockey goaltenders.

Buddy, there's multiple seasons of this shit. His entire tenure. He took riding the hot hand to untold levels of stupidity, given that none of the hands were ever particularly hot.

Every night in the NHL there is some kid from Frost's draft class helping his team. Kids who don't have the resume Frost has the past two years. Suzuki scores a goal tonight. Cody Glass is racking up points on the third line at wing. Robert Thomas already won a Cup, scoring 33 points for the Blues getting 13 minutes a game. Texier is getting 16 minutes a night.

Neither Bunnaman nor Raffl can handle center. Pitlick sucks too.

Hagg should be the No. 9 defenseman. This is just poor player evaluation at this point.

Berube:
Mason 60 games, 5 back to backs,
48 games, 4 back to backs, the previous two seasons

2015-16: Mason 53, Neuvirth 29
Mason had 5 back to backs (given Neuvirth, you'd have to check if he was injured)
2016-17: Mason 54, Neuvirth, 24, Stolarz 4
Mason had 5 back to backs
2017-18: Elliott 42, Neuvirth 18, Mrazek 15, Lyon 7
Elliott had 4 back to backs
2018-19: Hart 30, Elliott 23, Stolarz 10, Pickard 8, Neuvirth 6, Talbot 3, Lyon 1, McKenna 1
Elliott 0 back to backs, Hart 1 back to back

He was a one of a kind idiot. His coaching incompetence was unparalleled.

There is potential for so many decent combinations even with Patrick hurt. Combinations that no reasonable hockey mind could concretely say are worse than what the Flyers are currently choosing to run with.

Rubs, Vorobyev and Farabee are more than solid options.

Cowardly decision to run with the “veterans”. As usual.
