We got our answer as to what Botterill thinks the roster problem is. It’s not that they lack talent and scoring...it’s that they need size and try hard.

His trades will be even worse.

I wish I had any faith that his replacement next year would live in the 21st century but the owner is stuck in the 70s so there isn’t any

If they are willing to retain in subban it’s to boost return. That is basically a salary dump back as bogo is injured and likely isn’t a top 6 dman there

That is a ton of cap space to take on beyond next season after which Bogosian’s deal goes away.

Very interested in Subban. NOT even considering Turris as a tagalong. Would give up a lot for 3 years of Subban at $6. Unprotected 1st, any roster player not named Eichel, Reinhart, Skinner or Dahlin, any prospect but UPL.

Compared to Risto, Subban is an upgrade on the blue line, and we can then trade Risto to help us forward. But if Nashville is even ready to keep his salary, then maybe the price will not be so big, in principle, we could take a full salary.
