They should absolutely force Kase to wear head gear. He shouldn’t have any say in the matter. I’m not sure why he wouldn’t... all college players do.

The PA has a say in it and nobody is forced to wear full cages. Secondly, a full cage does nothing to stop you getting your bell rung. Thirdly, nobody in the league does it and he would be taunted mercilessly. He's not going to do it.

Then he deserves to get pucks to his face like Cam, and he can blame himself if his career is cut short with him not taking any steps to avoid injuries. At least we wouldn’t be on the hook for 3+ years like our previous contracts.

Shoot, I’d trade him for Watson and his baggage... 3 years at 1.5 million is a deal.

Cages literally lead to more concussions....yeah they protect your face from pucks but his issue is concussions.

I believe the NHL has a rule where unless you’re coming back from an injury you can’t wear cages or fish bowls. It’s because of injury to others they have this rule I believe.

And yeah cages do nothing to prevent concussions and can do more harm than good in some cases.
