Why not have Dahlin and Nylander in the next 3 games? They need to get as many reps as possible. They are young, that isn’t going to kill them. Dahlin hasn’t even played on the road yet.

Best defenceman ever? I hope so but that’s some lofty expectations lol. I just hope we have our Doughty/Herman/Suter for the next 15 seasons.

Nylander and Dahlin need the work

Doesnt' necessarily mean they aren't playing. He's not just taking American Players ONLY.

Personally would like to see him for this game experiment with some combinations to see what they can do together for future reference.

I would love to see what Nylander-Eichel-Reinhart can do again with a much more improved Nylander (based on his play this camp), maybe do CJ Smith-Berglund-Thompson, Oglevie-Mitts-Okposo or something along those lines. part of that is because I question his judgement with lines and what makes players mesh well based on their ability, skill, and IQ, instead of forcing guys to mesh. Seems like he's all about putting combinations together and is just going to roll with it.

It's not preventing them from playing in the next 3 if that's what Housley wants.

Dahlin is going to get all the hockey he can handle this season, so there's really no need to play him in four straight preseason games, which would be the case if he played Hockeyville and the remaining two. Nylander and other guys on the bubble all need the time to show themselves, but no one is going to play all of the remaining games. Nylander is as American as he is anything else, so maybe he'll play. No sense having an issue with it until we see the actual line-ups coach goes with.

Taking "as many as possible" also doesn't preclude the idea that he'd take players who need more ice time in the preseason as well. It's not like he's going to roll 2 lines and 3 defenders all game, or however many americans we have.

Maybe Tennyson isn't sent down because he known the Amerks system, whereas a player like Borgen could benefit from getting more time in the Amerks TC.

It would mean that we are tanking. Nylander has to be up with the team at the start of the season.
