Update for NO LA game. The NO o-line players with injuries were all full practice yesterday and today. The key is going to be the play of the LG. It turns out he was coming off a surgery he had on his wrist or hand during the bye week and he played anyway. If he can play with a decent use of his hand and if the LT can play through his discomfort that is probably enough to give Brees time to get to his secondary receivers. Both teams are less impressive than they were last meeting. Goff has plateaued a bit and the NO offense has looked less explosive. This game may come down to simple turnover ratio. In their last two real games (ignore the game against CAR when Brees and other starters sat) NO has thrown long bomb interceptions. One by wildcat QB Hill and the first play against the Eagles by Brees. Don’t be surprised to see the Saints go deep early against LA. The Rams are downplaying the Superdome noise level but it is real. It will be interesting to see if LA can adjust at the line which is how their coach changes plays for Goff during the first fifteen seconds of the play clock. NO will have to disguise its alignment as long as possible to get the benefit of the crowd. Looking forward to a good game.

If the Saints keep getting these goofy pass deflection interceptions they should have no problem winning the Superbowl.

Brees is the difference so far

He has off the charts football IQ

It's more experience. These older QBs like Manning, now Brees and Brady etc.... there is literally no defensive scheme or tactic you can possibly throw at them that they haven't seen. They already know what's coming just by the personnel you're using or the way you've lined-up.

Manning was the best I've ever seen in that capacity, he'd routinely "move" his guys or literally tell guards to change their blocking assignments at the line.

That too

But Brees is an extremely bright guy
