Any shot of Clifton being healthy enough to replace Gryz tomorrow night?

I would prefer trying Clifton for Moore but I don’t see Cassidy doing that.

Especially since it seems like Clifton is just getting going.

Love Clifton’s game though don’t get me wrong!

That would be good, let Gryz go back to the left side where he is more effective. Moore can skate and has "size" and some experience as well, so I don't see this happening.

Expecting the lineup to stay the same as it was in game 6

Marchand Bergeron Heinen - bless Heinen for filling in nicely
Debrusk Krejci Pasta - Pasta please shoot, no more fancy passing
Mojo Coyle Kuhlman
Nordstrom Acciary Kuraly

Chara McAvoy
Krug Carlo
Grz Moore

Is Studnicka actually a realistic possibility to play? Wouldn't be crazy considering he'd be slotting in for Kuhlman, a guy with almost no experience.

With all due respect, in what world would they bring up Studnicka right now to make his NHL debut? Especially when Kuhlman has been fine there?

Don't we have a line combos thread already?

I don't see any drastically different changes coming against Columbus. They certainly won't be calling up Studnicka.

Don't like Pasta on DK's line. Just doesn't seem to do anything to move the needle and actually makes Pasta look ordinary. Would elevate Mojo up to that spot and restore Pasta to the top line. Heinen down to the third in place of Mojo.

Also have no interest in seeing Miller out there again. It's been a lost season for him, and letting him try to round back into playing shape now is not the right move, IMO.

Miller still hurt and your putting a raw rookie in Studnicka in? Over whom?

I like Miller more than many here but having missed as much time, as one of our fellow poster stated, to put him in during round 2 and have any expectations is both opening ourselves up for disappointment and asking a ton from a guy who never got in the groove due to so much missed time this year.

The Jackets don`t frighten me one bit in the physicality department, yep, have some players who love to bang, I actually think that style suits the B`s as they tend to get more engaged in games like that

Why would it be out of the realm of possibilities?

Because you would need a lot of injuries before he's even an option. A healthy lineup, he doesn't replace anyone currently playing. An injured lineup, you still have two options on the roster in Backes + Wagner/Kuhlman who go in before he does. He has zero NHL experience. You can count the amount of AHL games he has on your hands. I'm high on him as a prospect and think he has potential to be a solid NHL player, but I don't think 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs in round 2 against a big/physical Columbus Blue Jackets team is where he gets his first taste.

Also, how does it affect his NHL contract? Does that automatically burn a season? That plays a big part in it as well. I'm not sure of how that works though.

Clifton was really good and physical yesterday. I would keep him in the lineup over Moore

Coming from a wings fan,

Marchand-Bergeron-Pasta
Debrusk- Krejci-Coyle
Heinen-Johansson-Kuhlman
Nordstrom-Kuraly-Wagner

Is Kevan Miller close to returning? That dudes a gamer and a big part of why I like the B's now.
Also who is this Kuhlman kid? Why's he getting second line time above Coyle?

If Krejci is hurt:

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
Jojo - Coyle - Heinen
DeBrusk - Backes - Khulman/Wagner
Kuraly - Acciari - Nordstrom

Given how well Johansson-Coyle have been playing, maybe try Pasta on that line to try to get him going? Getting pretty frustrating with him, not like Cassidy isn't trying different things.

I wouldn't mind this either.

Miller is week-to-week, the word here from those who know was a broken kneecap and according to the coach he had a setback last week, so he likely won't be in for this series.
Kuhlman was a FA signing this summer out of college from Minnesota-Duluth. Fast good IQ, defensively strong. He was put on the second line because of his wheels and responsible play. Bruins need a 3C which Coyle is, as it gives us 4 complete and solid lines. Coyle goes up to wing on the 2nd line and no one is centering a third line. Not a good option in the playoffs.
