He’s been OK but needs to be more consistent and show more intensity shift to shift, which is why he was sent down. The skill and the size are definitely there but Chlapik basically took his spot.

his last preseason game was his best one. he didn't do enough to stick around though.

So if we are going with 22 players on the roster we'll likely have 7D and 13F.

Mckenna sent down, Jaros and Lajoie get sent down.

On F that leaves one of White, Chlapik or Formenton to be sent down or McCormick is waived. Tkachuk is making the team no doubt and Chlapik as well IMO.

mccormck on waivers is the easiest decision ever. feels like our team is too big I would hope we don't keep a guy up here to play as the 13th F

This lineup makes the most sense to start the year, and then go from there

Yeah something like that would be really good I think. That first line speed will be fun to watch. Tkachuk and Stone is fun too.
Definitely still some things to look forward to this year..

Also why does Dorion get a say in this? Seems strange that a guy who essentially never addresses the team (which is how it should be, keep this management group as far away as possible from the players) is a key stakeholder in this process.

Man, did Boro's gf ever do him a favor by defending Melnyk on twitter.

I have an Alfie Captain jersey, a Spezza Captain jersey and a Karlsson Captain jersey. If they name Boro, that is where I draw the line. Team is already a laughing stock, making a bottom pairing plug that if he wasn't playing for Ottawa he would be in Cornwall, is just the cherry on the poopy sundae.

Oh for sure, that will hopefully accelerate with full #MelnykBoycott. But we are still cheering on the lads that play the game, the real guys we care about.

Yeah, really only worth moving him if another team sees him as valuable. With his contract versus his production, he's got negative value.

If a team is willing to give a pick/prospect back, great. But no point of taking even more dead money back just to get out from under his $$$

Maybe Michael Stone in Calgary but since Smith has a year longer on his contract, the Sens would have to add.

Michael Stone in Calgary makes sense for both teams potentially. I'd add a late round pick to get out of a year of that contract. Hell we paid a 2nd to save a few bucks (sadly)
