So essentially, VGK trade away NHL contracted D for AHL contracted F.

Haven't seen any other news stories or confirmations from VGK.

This is absolutely impossible as you have written it. Vegas did trade an NHL contract to WPG... yes
Both Vegas and WPG had nothing to do per say with the trade of the AHL contract to Chicago...Tye McGinn was signed to an AHL contract thus NOT property of WPG and they in turn have NO say in anything that is done with him.
What happened is the 4 GM's got together on a phone conference and worked out the details...meaning that Vegas agreed to send Oligny to WPG and then in return WPG convinced the Moose to send McGinn to Chicago as well...basically " we can get you D help but they want McGinn in return"...
Chicago has tweeted on the topic already and WPG has also...not sure exactly why you are waiting for Vegas to confirm a trade that was between minor league teams...and the Oligny trade has already been confirmed multiple times.

VGK trades Oligny for FC. Manitoba trades McGinn for FC.

Those "future considerations" are the other trade.

I don't see how you think WPG has no say in Manitoba dealings when the team is owned by it's NHL parent.

(Now AHL Chicago is an independently owned franchise, but they are affiliated with VGK. My guess is that VGK is contractually obligated to provide X goalies and Y skaters. Even though McGinn is an AHL contract, VGK may be paying it.)
