The way Canada plays the pp once they set up in the zone it's mostly a 4 on 4 deeper box with Chabot high and largely not involved in the play for a lot of the time. Sometimes one guy skates higher to take a shot but he takes the spot that Chabot should be in and boxes out his own D. It's kind of weird to leave one man out like that.

Canada always has one stinker even in tournaments we win - hopefully this exhibition game against the Swiss was it. One of the biggest keys, as it always is in a short tournament, is goaltending. One of those two has to claim the #1 job and run with it. We haven't had a goalie really shine in this event since Tokarski eight years ago...

Chabot should be the D of the tourney, he will impress. Closets comparison for me is Sandis Ozolinshch who was a tall guy who was just smooth as silk rushing the puck. He has an EK like calmness, but he doesn't hit the wholes like EK does, he's more of a weaver, like Ozolisnh, closet comparison in a Sens uniform would be Havlat when he would go coast to coast and hold onto the puck for forever. Made the neutral zone disappear, Chabot does that, forechecking doesn't exist for him. He only seems to get into trouble when he holds onto the puck for to long, like Havlat did.

The juniors also have a habit of over passing and passing up on shots early in tournaments, always being polite and wanting to share, once we get over being nice and we get a bit of a scare they seem to come around quickly.
