I think people forget that the money Roman puts into Chelsea is an interest free loan. The goal was always to try to be self sufficient. He's basically trying to make back the money he has put in.

Good luck making that money back. The only way would be if someone bought the club from him - he is not going to get it back in cash from the club.

The goal is to legitimize suspect money, not turn a massive profit.

He now has a multi billion pound asset, in a legit country. Doesn't matter what happens at home or who he falls out with - they can't touch this.

Southampton chairman says VVD is not for sale this window.

Liverpool need to give 100m to Napoli for Koulibaly and Zielinski to fix this disaster.

Just get it done. It's unreal that they haven't tried anything else and are just sitting on their money like Smaug.

Not necessarily my idea but Liverpool need to give 100m to Napoli for Koulibaly and Zielinski to fix this disaster.

Have fun dealing with De Laurentiis.

Koulibaly is not moving, Chelsea proved that last summer.

If Liverpool are a big club, they shouldn't be afraid of dealing with big personalities. They need to just show Napoli the money and get it done.

Kind of like how they showed RBL and Southampton the money and got it done? It's really not that simple.

Chelsea didn't pay enough.

Liverpool have the money. They wanted to go 60m for VVD, that gets KK

They made a series of bids, the highest being in the 55-60 range, at least that's what I remember the highest one being.

His release clause is reportedly 70 million euro.

Right - they didn't pay enough. Everything is going to be dictated by release clauses now. Liverpool are sitting on 150m before selling Coutinho. Go talk to Napoli ASAP

That's like saying Liverpool didn't pay enough for Van Dijk.

The saga went like this. Chelsea made a bid, Napoli said no, pay x. Chelsea bid x, and Napoli said no, x+10. Chelsea bid x+10, and Nopoli said no, x+20. Chelsea bid x+20, and Napoli said no, and Chelsea said screw it. Koulibaly was never for sale, no amount of money was going to convince them.

Koulibaly, Draxler, Zielinski and/or Kovacec, would quickly turn this summer around for LFC even if Coutinho was sold...let's see if they can get even close to that quality.

Technically Liverpool didn't even bid for Van Dijk lol

Howedes is available for 20m. Klopp please.

LFC can add Howedes and pay the release clauses of Koulibaly and Zielinski for around what Van Dijk and Keita would have cost them. Maybe under.

I really don't think Klopp rated any of the Schalke players besides Matip (and Draxler if he counts) or he would have been all over Kolasinac, Goretzka, etc.
