A player who's contract is expiring and meets all of the following conditions shall become an unrestricted free agent (UFA):
  1. The player is 25 years or older (as of June 30th of the calendar year the contract is expiring).
  2. The player has completed 3 or more professional seasons - qualified by 11 or more professional games (for an 18/19 year old player), or 1 or more professional games (for a player aged 20 or older). This can include NHL, minor league, and European professional league seasons played while under an SPC.
  3. The player has played less than 80 NHL games, or 28 NHL games of 30 minutes or greater for a goaltender.
Where is this from?

Wow, any CHI fans wanna chime in on this one?

7pts in 23 games, +9.2 rel Corsi (for those that care about that)

Is it purely matter of giving Kempny and Oesterle more time?

He's a guy that the fans of analytics love but he can never seem to stick anywhere. There's more to it than the numbers imply. How many teams has he played for?

4.
Really not that bad.

In the Preds wheelhouse for 4 years, and then they brought him back later as a rental. Then in Toronto for 4 years, Buffalo 2, and now Chicago

Intrigued as an Islanders fan with a terrible defense at the moment.

Montreal might be his next destination.... Habs need a RHD with Weber away until at least All-Star break.

Franson has a big shot and he can move the puck. He's also really, really slow. He's a nice #6-7 guy that Q over used. Don't let the advanced numbers fool you. He's just a guy.

He's NHL caliber. I'm sure someone could use him. Probably means he clears.

Who do you think will claim Brossoit, if anyone? Who do you think should?

I think he'll clear. He's a mediocre backup goalie. Unless someone had a goalie get injured recently, he's probably off to Bakersfield.

Edit: Nevermind. Apparently I quoted a post that was like 5 days old

Jussi was really good when he was with the Pens but I guess that was 4 years ago and I honestly haven't seen him play this year but the numbers dont look pretty. I still wouldn't be upset if they took a flier on him.
